Carved from forests of towering oaks and pines, Old Corkscrew Golf Club exhibits all of the superior characteristics that define Nicklaus Signature courses. The absence of houses around the golf course adds to the secluded and peaceful feel that is provided by the dense thickets of trees that surround it. Jack Nicklaus himself was a prominent presence throughout every phase of the course's construction, incorporating well balanced holes that vary in direction, look, and feel. Proper club selection will be greatly rewarded on this golf course. The fast-paced, undulating greens sit up to 20 feet above the lush, rolling fairways, which can create some tricky pin placements if you're not careful. Old Corkscrew Golf Club's fairways are rather generous, but they are framed by carefully sculpted bunkers. Several large ponds come into play on nearly every hole and there are also numerous sand traps strategically placed along the greensides.

Beautiful course

The course is unique in that you never see a house while playing. Beautiful setting and great condition. I played mid week in early afternoon so the course was not crowded at all. Love that range balls are included and a nice practice area. Will definitely play again.

Best Course in Florida

This course is one of my favorites in Florida. That staff are top notch and some of the best around. Greens are starting to come around since the closure over the summer. The only gripe I have of the course is the price. Unfortunately, in season it will keep going up and up :( . Love the place though.

Of course it's a tough course, it's supposed to be. Hit your fairways and you'll be happy. Don't hit your fairways and you can lose some golf balls. The preserve is a wonderful area, with beautiful golf holes throughout. If you only visit the area you should play it once, if you live here you can enjoy it anytime you want. Superb layout and very friendly and helpful staff. Corkscrew gets a 10 always.
