About
Carved from forests of towering oaks and pines, Old Corkscrew Golf Club exhibits all of the superior characteristics that define Nicklaus Signature courses. The absence of houses around the golf course adds to the secluded and peaceful feel that is provided by the dense thickets of trees that surround it. Jack Nicklaus himself was a prominent presence throughout every phase of the course's construction, incorporating well balanced holes that vary in direction, look, and feel. Proper club selection will be greatly rewarded on this golf course. The fast-paced, undulating greens sit up to 20 feet above the lush, rolling fairways, which can create some tricky pin placements if you're not careful. Old Corkscrew Golf Club's fairways are rather generous, but they are framed by carefully sculpted bunkers. Several large ponds come into play on nearly every hole and there are also numerous sand traps strategically placed along the greensides.

Much Better This Go Around!
Recently played Old Corkscrew again and was impressed with the improvement to the greens. Some work is still going on, but the greens are remarkably improved than they were a few months ago. Overall, had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
We thought they were having some difficulty with a number of the greens. Otherwise, the course was wonderful.
Terrible greens
This course has a great design nice scenery and good elevation for a swfl course but the greens were in terrible shape. For the price in summer that is not acceptable. Tons of flies as well
Greens a disaster
Looks like fungus attacked the greens. Most were looked horrible and were unplayable in spots. Was very much looking forward to this course but it was way below my expectations.
Good course, but green is beyond bad, I played twice hopefully better second time, but got worse. Nice people working but need time to fix the green,
Old Corckscrew
I was really disappointed today. The greens must have had a Fungai and most was really and I mean really bad. They did just aerate them but for the money I really feel I wasted money today playing here. I have the PGA pass and many many courses have the price and way better.
Great Nicklaus Design
This is a terrific course. Once they get the fungus on the greens completely eradicated, this will be a top 25 course in Florida - easily.
Great track. Greens had some issues. I’m sure will be fixed by busy season. Will play again!
A Wonderful Nicklaus Gem
Great design and classic Nicklaus tough. As soon as they fix the fungus disease on the greens, this course will be back to second to none as far as daily fee courses in South Florida are concerned,. Still, the greens are passable as is, so go play this course!
Great course, but greens are rough.
Everything other than the greens are immaculate here. Extremely challenging amazing layout, but there are some burnt spots in the greens. It’s not bad enough that it should deter you from playing, but it is something you should know before going in

Nice course
The course was in decent condition. Some greens were beat up. Staff was very friendly. Wouldn’t pay peak season prices, but got it on a hot deal for $83.
Amazing course. Found a great deal and although some of the greens had some issues, it did not take away from the scenery and challenge it had to offer. Will be a must play for me every time I’m in the area.
Watson Review
The course was nice but the greens were not in great shape and the gnats, mosquitoes and even wasps were annoying. However, the pace of play was awful. It took almost 2.5 hours to play nine holes. It was so slow, we just quit after nine holes.
Excellent golf course
Some of the greens had some fungus that they told us about the pro shop…. not really an issue. …Just a beautiful Golf experience
Uneven conditions
Third time playing there and it is still a great layout, but unfortunately, the conditions were uneven. A number of brown spots in the fairways and a lot of flat green scab spots on the greens that in some cases were one or two feet wide and/or long. They tried to place the holes away from the damaged sections but the speed was inconsistent. Some downhill puts were really quick while on other greens they were medium fast, and ended up well short of the cup.
