About
Carved from forests of towering oaks and pines, Old Corkscrew Golf Club exhibits all of the superior characteristics that define Nicklaus Signature courses. The absence of houses around the golf course adds to the secluded and peaceful feel that is provided by the dense thickets of trees that surround it. Jack Nicklaus himself was a prominent presence throughout every phase of the course's construction, incorporating well balanced holes that vary in direction, look, and feel. Proper club selection will be greatly rewarded on this golf course. The fast-paced, undulating greens sit up to 20 feet above the lush, rolling fairways, which can create some tricky pin placements if you're not careful. Old Corkscrew Golf Club's fairways are rather generous, but they are framed by carefully sculpted bunkers. Several large ponds come into play on nearly every hole and there are also numerous sand traps strategically placed along the greensides.

Highly over rated because of designer
If you like to eat dust all day.... huury up and wait because they booked 200 golfers on a short January day on a tricked out Nicklaus course, then you can say that you had an "enjoyable" day of golf. The fact that the average golfer is worse than 18 handicap on a difficult corse creates slow play and rangers don't address the issue quick enough. At one time we had 4 groups on a par 5 for almost 15 minutes (green, fairway and two on the tee box.. My foursome pulled out after 9. Don't even get me started on the cart path maze!

Be ready for a 5+ hour round
Really like this course and thought it was a fair price. It’s tough but fair. Slope from the blue tees is 146. Course is in good shape. Greens roll nice and are decently fast. I’d definitely like to play it again but with tee times spaced out every 7 minutes the pace of play was ridiculous. Nice practice area and range. Probably one of the better tracks in the area.

The experience from arrival through the gentleman at cleaning the clubs at the end of my round was top level. Course was in good shape. The only damper on the day was the rain on the backside.

Tough track
Not a course for a high handicap player, Tee times every 7 minutes made for a slow pace of play.

Good golf test
Very nice golf course with a great layout. Fairways and greens were very good. Bunkers were good. No houses on the course makes it very pleasant to play. Nice warm up area. Good clubhouse.
A little pricey this time of the year, but I enjoyed it.

Great layout terrible pace of play
Great layout challenging but when you put tee times seven minutes apart it creates a nightmare !

Super Challenging

Worth the drive
Old Corkscrew is a great layout that is very challenging (138 slope from the blues). It was in the best shape I’ve seen it it and the day was fantastic. We did not play particularly well and were appropriately punished for it but it didn’t matter. The course invites you to try challenging shots but you have to execute and there are reasonable bailout areas however you will lose balls in the water as it comes into play on several holes. It’s a bit off the beaten path but worth the trip from whatever direction you are coming from

Excellent CHallenge
Beautiful layout with no housing. Very picturesque... Can be an extremely challenging if you choose blue or black tees. Many elevated greens require precision approaches. Definitely worth playing.

Too much maintenance and noise for the cost
Great course but grounds crew shows no respect to players. Had to listen to a chainsaw for half the, even on the same hole.
Loved playing last year but this it was so enjoyable, don’t think I will chance it again for the money it cost.
