About
Carved from forests of towering oaks and pines, Old Corkscrew Golf Club exhibits all of the superior characteristics that define Nicklaus Signature courses. The absence of houses around the golf course adds to the secluded and peaceful feel that is provided by the dense thickets of trees that surround it. Jack Nicklaus himself was a prominent presence throughout every phase of the course's construction, incorporating well balanced holes that vary in direction, look, and feel. Proper club selection will be greatly rewarded on this golf course. The fast-paced, undulating greens sit up to 20 feet above the lush, rolling fairways, which can create some tricky pin placements if you're not careful. Old Corkscrew Golf Club's fairways are rather generous, but they are framed by carefully sculpted bunkers. Several large ponds come into play on nearly every hole and there are also numerous sand traps strategically placed along the greensides.

Bogey is sometimes a good score
Miss it by 20 feet roll down a bank and your hoping to make bogey. Love it.

This course is very challenging but fair.
The range needs improvement. Very tight lies with no grass when I was warming up.
Clubhouse needs to be bigger especially inside dining area.

3 putt day
Course was excellent. Windy day made things slow. Greens were consistent but large undulations and pin placements made for tournament play not Saturday slowed things immensely.

As always I was greeted warmly by bag drop gentleman and pro shop
The course was its usual tough self make the correct shot or no forgiveness
Pace of play and course conditions were as anticipated and we had a great round
Old Corkscrew is still my top course to play in Southwest Florida!

Awesome coursi
Excellent! Great practice area. Friendly staff. Fantastic conditions of fairways and the greens were perfect. Greens were soft enough to hold a well struck iron and putts rolled true and fast.

In true Jack style, a fantastic course that requires solid shot making. Unfortunately I didn’t have my best swing that day. I highly recommend playing this course, but plan on tossing the scorecard when you’re done. Thanks Jack !!

Highly over rated because of designer
If you like to eat dust all day.... huury up and wait because they booked 200 golfers on a short January day on a tricked out Nicklaus course, then you can say that you had an "enjoyable" day of golf. The fact that the average golfer is worse than 18 handicap on a difficult corse creates slow play and rangers don't address the issue quick enough. At one time we had 4 groups on a par 5 for almost 15 minutes (green, fairway and two on the tee box.. My foursome pulled out after 9. Don't even get me started on the cart path maze!
