Lake Presidential Golf Club
About
Lake Presidential Golf Club is one of Maryland's most popular public courses. It is a challenging championship layout that is player friendly enough to accommodate a wide range of skill levels. It stands out from run-of-the-mill municipal courses with exceptional conditions from the tees to the greens. The layout offers a diverse mix of holes that will have golfers using every club in their bag. There are some especially interesting par 3s that are visible but with enough hazards to make them a challenge. Houses border the front nine holes but they are absent on the back nine. The fairways on the last nine holes are densely lined with mature trees. The golf course finishes with an enjoyable par 5 that plays over a lake. It can be reached in two with a little skill and accuracy.

DO NOT PLAY COURSE
You will be intimidated by rude marshall to play fast even you are waiting for every shot due to pace of play. NEVER PLAY HERE!!!
Pace is Crap
How do you mix a group outing and public tee times? How can you make the pace slower? Ask management at Lake Presidential. They seem to want you to spend 6 hours on the course. No Marshall to keep pace of play at 4.5 hours. No they want it at 6 hours. You can literally tee off, take your cart to the parking lot, drive to the local Starbucks, order your drink, comeback and still wait for your next shot.
Needs Work
Potentially one of the best courses in the area but is not kept up. Very disappointing! Also, no one seems to manage the course with workers driving around with loud music and smelling of pot. Not good!
Thr New GPS was a pain the A..and slowed play down but course.was in good shape .And the club house helper guy ..help find my phone ..I had to use promo codes to get price reasonable. But A good day otherwise.
Beautiful day course was saturated 3 days after rain. Needs better drainage in fairways.
Not a good round of golf
The course condition was not good. Greens were slow, and the fairways were semi-rough. Too many blind-shots and hidden hazards which may explain slow play and 5+ hr round. And, the cart path restrictions were... unpredictable and very annoying... Not a good golf course overall.
Downhill
I’ll start by saying this course used to be awesome. Very unique and challenging layout that’s still accessible. However, management here is terrible, and it’s pretty clear when you read all the other reviews. The manager lies and claims he’ll get back to you when reaching out with a problem. Never does. Pace of play is awful now due to a mix of cart path only on seemingly every hole and Marshall’s who don’t do anything. Conditions are also pretty bad now as well. I don’t know how people spend $100 for a round here. I don’t even want to play for $40 when they have deals now. The bar is also a joke and seems to be open only on occasion. Ordered 2 small things on hole 8 and 30 minutes later when we got to the clubhouse, nothing was even started. No it wasn’t because they were busy. A beautiful course that’s now turned into a cash grab. Hate to see it.
Condition
Course wasn’t in great condition. A lot of rough patches on fairways and greens. They must not have a lot of members, because nobody seems to repair ball damage on greens.
Great layout but condition not as good as before
First time playing this course this year. Played on a hot Monday afternoon, with no players around. The greens are lush and rolling true for most holes, with the exception of a couple of holes having some bold spots. The bunkers are in okay condition,.Fairway is mostly okay but overly wet,.Rough has lots of weeds, uneven and bold spots all around. Quite a few tee boxes apprear to have been recently worked on, not yet quite fully grown. No water on the course, not good for a hot day. No service in the club house doe to lack of players. Overall it is decent still but not as good condition as played last year.
Need Course Marshall
Pace was terrible. Many holes were cart path only, and there were 4somes chasing balls all over the course. Needed marshall to move players along to preserve pace.
