About
Lake Presidential Golf Club is one of Maryland's most popular public courses. It is a challenging championship layout that is player friendly enough to accommodate a wide range of skill levels. It stands out from run-of-the-mill municipal courses with exceptional conditions from the tees to the greens. The layout offers a diverse mix of holes that will have golfers using every club in their bag. There are some especially interesting par 3s that are visible but with enough hazards to make them a challenge. Houses border the front nine holes but they are absent on the back nine. The fairways on the last nine holes are densely lined with mature trees. The golf course finishes with an enjoyable par 5 that plays over a lake. It can be reached in two with a little skill and accuracy.

A beautiful course that can test the best
Loved the course! It’s tough at time and fairly simple at times. I think this course could be near perfect with better yardage markings.
My favorite PG County public course.
I love this track. Challenging but fair. You need to be able to hit it pretty good off the tee. Greens rolled true and have good pace. The greens were a little too firm, hard to hold unless you hit a full shot out of the fairway. Grass hitting area at the range a huge plus. One of my favorite courses.
Challenging course, a lot of risk reward shots
I play here weekly and it’s a very tough course with a lot of risk reward shots
Good conditions. Poor pace of play!
There is no reason a group of 4 should be playing from the tips if it takes them 4 shots just to get to the greens. As a threesome, with a twosome following, we were waiting on every shot on the front. I quit after 10 holes. And the twosome behind me quit after 9. I spoke with them in the parking lot. Let's get some starters out there!
Great m, but slow
The course is great for challenging play and was in great condition. The staff is top notch, but the pace of play was too slow and took away from the joy the course had to offer.

Beautiful. Tough. Course.
I hate this course, in a good way. Always a really hard test, especially when the wind speed is high. Greens were in great shape. Drainage problems of 2019 are gone. Today the rough was PGA Tour thick, which made out even more challenging.
Excellent Layout
Course is difficult but in great condition with fast greens! There are almost no flat lies which provide additional challenge even if you stay in the fairways! If you’re not in the fairways on most holes you will be punished but the course is a fun challenge for all levels!
Great mid- winter play
Course is well maintained despite harsh winter rains. Greens were smooth and true

One of the best layouts in entire region, public or private. Have played four times this year and course has been in excellent condition. Range still on grass in late December.

The course was a bit wet and was cart path only...BLAH!
The grille was closed, the course was cart path only and the greens were extremely sloooooooooooooooow.
Staff not knowledgeable
I had an early tee time called the golf course to inquire if there was a frost delay. Pro shop attendant had no clue, showed up on time and the course had a hour frost delay.............
