Lake Presidential Golf Club

For a course to be this nice and have a staff that doesn’t care or know the rules of golf is absolutely unacceptable. For 14 holes I played in a 3-some in which we played patiently behind a 2-some that took a minimum of 3 shots off every tee and even more from the fairway. However, we didn’t say anything to them neither did we call the pro-shop b/c according to our GPS provided inside the cart we were on -pace …OK so be it. However, after not taking a 2nd Tee shot all day, my playing partner hit a duck shot on 14 with the Marshal watching. The Marshal comes up after we’ve been delayed all day and says “It’s not course etiquette to take a 2nd shot when ppl are waiting.” 1. The 1 player behind us 3 was already aware of the newbie’s in front of us and didn’t wanna go ahead of us although we offered 2 times as he was a newbie as well and could see we were better players. 2. He wasnt even on the green behind us. 3. The rules of golf including golf etiquette has nothing to do with how you feel. Stick to the rules Mr. Marshal who was missing in action for 3hrs. Your best course of action when ducking a shot into the bushy water 20yards in front of you is to take a 2nd shot NOT to drop a ball in front of the bushy lake 20 yards in front simple to make it harder to get over the water. It’s simply a lack of understanding of the rules and the situation. The Marshal’s best course of action was to simply keep moving unless someone behind him complained or we were off pace of play which neither was the case as we were 15mins ahead of pace according to the carts GPS. I got into a back and forth with the Marshal until he kinda realized he was wrong but still wouldn’t concede. A terrible encounter that was completely unnecessary. We both mentioned the encounter to the Pro Shop team but the simply seemed disinterested. Please find better ppl who understand the rules of golf and can thoroughly analyze the situation in real time instead of jumping to conclusions b/c someone took a 2nd tee shot that landed in the middle of the fairway.

Challenging layout. Great variety of holes. Course in good conditions, yet too many unrepared ball marks on the greens. Greens were slower than expected as the putting green ran fast. Range is nice. Really enjoyed the round.

I played this course the other day and I was very impressed by the greens; I will be back to play here again.

I play there on a regular bases. Very nice golf course and friendly staff. The pace of play unfortunately that day wasn't up to par. Multiple groups had to pass up a group of 4 that was lagging, otherwise great day.

Had an 8:33 tee time and the course was already backed up. Started 25 minutes late and continued to be backed up the entire round. Marshall said they usually play 4 hours 45 min and it took us closer to 5 and a half hours. Was also very annoying that the cart GPS kept telling us we were 15-20 minutes behind pace when we waited on every hole. We could see both groups in front of us all day. Multiple times the group behind us pulled up to the tee box and we hadn’t hit yet. I could understand an afternoon round being that backed up, but 8:33 tee time…..other than that the course itself was fun and challenging. Pretty views.

This course is more challenging than it seems. But the layout is fun. It’s in relatively good conditions, has a nice clubhouse, driving range, etc.

But few trash cans and no ball washers, water coolers or other on course amenities that should go with a course that charges $80 to play.

It’s a fun golf course for sure, but feels a little overpriced.

Our round was 6 hours. Look at all the reviews on Google. The staff does not care. The course is challenging and favors accuracy - but everything else is terrible. Certainly not worth the price point.

3rd X playing course, LOVE IT. Only issue all 3X is no hot dogs ready at turn. Not a crazy huge issue, but would be helpful if they were quicker.

Took 6 hours to finish a 18 hole in the AM on a Sunday. Terrible job of managing the pace of the players. Decent course condition - Some greens were not pressed down and had many spots of tall grass. Not worth the $100.

I used to play this course a lot when it was nice but they have stopped taking care of it. Should be used as pasture for cows

It is such a shame they can’t manage this course. They have no control over pace of play. Their staff is not willing to improve the experience. Waste of 120 bucks to play a 6.5 hour round of golf. Don’t spend your money here.
