Mansfield National Golf Club
About
Mansfield National Golf Club's tees range from 5,263 to 6,850 yards and the course plays to a par 72. The large, undulating greens make for inviting targets. The fairways are lined by every type of tree imaginable, with bunkers looming to suck in tee shots. Scores can add up on holes 11 and 16, with the lake coming into play, but water comes into play on only four holes total. The best hole is no. 5, considered one of the toughest par 3s in north Texas. It plays a very 3-wood-like 233 yards into a tough green that's hard to hold with the wind at your back. Located just south of Arlington Mansfield National also offers FootGolf, a combination of soccer and golf.

Good value for a quick afternoon round
We arrived about 45 minutes early, and the course was wide open. We went ahead and teed off and were done in under 3 hours since we were basically alone on the course. We probably could have used that warmup to get loose, but the course was in solid shape. The greens were a little slow, but I adapted fine and didn't have any 3 putts despite the wind making it hard to get close to the pins. The tees were all the way on the back, so the golds were almost to the blacks, and on a couple of the holes, I found it hard to find a spot to stand on level ground. On 11, I almost fell as my right foot was in a huge ant mound that was covered by grass too tall for a tee box. However, other than the tee placements, the course was in good shape, especially given the heavy rains we'd had over the weekend after a long period of no rain.
Still good for the money
I’ve played here many times over the last few yrs. I even had a Arcis membership last yr. However tee times seem to always run behind. The tee boxes and fairways were in excellent shape. The greens were quite slow and very bumpy. The sand traps were in terrible shape from the looks they hadn’t been maintained in quite some time. Overall this is still a very good course for the money just don’t come here if you want to get in a “quick round”
Great course
Great course. But, the only issues were the greens being bumpy. I will continue to play this course
Nice Track
Always good track greens were recently punched but course in good condition
A fun time!
The course is in pretty good shape for late July in North Texas. Only the bumpy greens (from aeration) could have made it better. In a few weeks, they should grow back in.
Great Course
Great course- relatively straight.
One long difficult par 3 in the wind.
Overall fun course for a great value
Not worth the money
We played for $35 each after tax and fees for a hot deal. Not a good start when we were supposed to tee off for our tee time, yet there was a group of 4 in the fairway, tee box, and a behind them. Teed off late and the pace didn’t pick up because of the amount of people and the two groups in front of us looked like it was their second time playing golf ever (not the course’s fault).
The conditions of the fairways and tee boxes honestly weren’t terrible for a course that deals with that kind of volume. The greens however? Absolute garbage. They punched them almost a week ago but you’d think they did it that morning. Sand all over them and they were probably rolling a 4. I think the greens are like a final exam, in that the other tests count but the biggest factor determining your grade is the final. The balls would stop on a steepish downhill slope if that tells you anything. Chipping had a 70% chance of splashing sand and the ball stopping.. on the green..
I’ll end on a positive note. It’s a public course so you can’t expect the greens to roll fast because it wouldn’t be fun for amateurs. However, make them smooth and at least roll an 8 or so. Make it enjoyable. If they could space groups out more so the round is faster, and improve course conditions it would be a fun $20 course
