Great value, great clubhouse
This is my favorite 9 hole course in San Diego. I can usually play in 1 to 1-1/2 hrs. The course is in great shape with fast, challenging greens. All par 3’s. Longest of which is 203 yards. Great for beginners, kids or golfers working on their short game. The clubhouse has super friendly staff and the BEST Breakfeast burrito you will ever have. Also a good selection of beers. Great short game practice area. The only negative I have is the “driving range” is just a few mats and a net about 10 feet in front of you. But I come back again and again because of the staff, the well maintained greens and fairways and the staff...and that breakfast burrito. Also all the Salad dressings are made in house by the chef.
SailHo is a little Gem
It was 6:30 a.m. and we had a small amount of time to get a golf game in. Loma Club or SailHo was a great option. Right in the heart of Point Loma, this golf course is a little 9 hole that has all of the amenities that a big course has; putting, chipping, driving range. It also has a nice clubhouse. The course itself is convenient and fun. Short holes and longer holes, this course has a nice balance. I really like this course.
Loma Club
VERY kid-friendly course. The youngsters will cause slow play for more experienced golfers.
short game improver
Good conditions considering water restrictions. Several challenging greens. Got into sand three times here (rarely do elsewhere). Didn't hit as many greens as expected. The clip on my cart covered up the black (back) tee yardage on the scorecard much of the round. Stupid me...but an enjoyable course! Will come back with wife.
Great Par 3 Course
Walked on as a single about 1130 a.m. No wait and played in about an hour. Great views of the city with a good assortment of long and short par 3's.
Beautiful Par 3 9 Hole Course
Greens are in great condition and you can tell they take pride in their tee box areas, fairways and greens. Really open par 3 course with amazing views of Downtown San Diego. It's my new favorite par 3 in San Diego.
Pro Shop
Excellent service. Nice atmosphere and a good beer selection.
Renamed The Loma Club
This course was recently renamed The Loma Club. It is a very short 9 hole course that is fun to play. The greens and fairways are in good shape but some of the tee boxes are made of astroturf. The practice range is also astroturf hitting into a net. The practice green is a nice surprise and is a large expanse of nicely kept green grass. A few of the holes have a substantial elevation change which made distance estimating a little tricky. Pace of play was very fast as we completed 9 holes in 65 minutes despite having to wait a few holes.
Nice
great pitch and putt.Nice place to play in less then 1.5 hour. Green in very good condition.
The course is very good for a public course
Great par 3 course. My wife is a beginner and she had fun. Very good for the price.
not a good course for experienced golfers
This course is a tiny 9 hole setup where almost every hole is 70 yrds. There were kids running across the fairways and it took a group in front of us 20 mins to play a 73 yard hole. It is cheap but even so I wouldn't go here again.
Short Game Sharpener!
A wide variety of short game challenges, distance, elevation, accuracy... Sail Ho is a great short game sharpener! Greens are excellent and will hold good shots. A great value for your golfing $ if you don't mind walking... and are not expecting an Executive or Championship length course. Sail Ho is a Par 3 course and is extremely enjoyable.
Ok once in a while. Budget course.
Wouldn't pay $15 to play, but on golfnow you can usually find a 6-10 $ deal and I don't mind playin a quick 9 holes for that much even though the course isn't the best out there. Fun to mess around on for cheap. Good If you live semi close. Wouldn't drive across the city to play this course. Then again for the price anyone can afford to try it out and make their own opinions of the place.
Easy and maintained course. Fun to do with the kids. Gets busy so don't be in a rush.
I enjoyed golfing here with my sister and five year old son. It was a easy course and well maintained. Don't be in a rush, on the 7th tee we ended up waiting for four parities to hit before we could tee off. But we were not in a rush and had a good time. Expect families and beginners.
Very ice 3 par 9 hole golf course
Nicely kept, well located golf course in San Diego. The views from hole #5 are awesome!!
Beautiful City Course
I loved this place a lot. it is fit my golf level . very convenient and beautiful too
Nice course
My hubby and I played Thanksgiving Day. Fun and challenging 9 hole par 3 course with some great views, bring a camera. Play moved along at a nice pace even though there were alot of peeps in front of us. FUN!
I've never putted on greens so smooth, they actually might even be better than Torrey Pines.
This is my new favorite course, the greens were unbelievably ice smooth. The staff were by far the nicest I have ever dealt with especially the older woman who drives around in the cart being the ranger. This course is perfect for short game and wedge practice which hurts most golfers. I would highly recommend this course to everyone.
