White Wing Golf Club
About
White Wing Golf Club opened its first opened with nine holes in June of 2000, and followed shortly thereafter with the complete package. Often compared to the nearby 1996 Legacy Hills, White Wing isn't quite as long, but is definitely more narrow, lined with massive old oak trees, some of which are located right in the middle of the fairway. Many times even if you pure the tee shot down the middle, you'll be forced to hustle a punch shot under one of these majestic trees.
Billy Casper's design is known for its challenging par 5s, one of which is the signature finishing hole. No. 18 plays downhill into a split fairway, offering a more aggressive shot to the right that must clear Berry Creek at 210 yards out, which gives you the chance to get home in two. If you play it left, you'll need three good shots to get to the green, one of which will involve dealing with one of the huge oaks that looms in the fairway.
White Wing Golf Club's most difficult hole is the par-4 No. 4, which requires an accurate tee shot between fairway bunkers, followed by an approach over a bunker into a multi-level green

Fun Golf Day
We went at 3:00 pm which is the discount time and it was perfect. We pretty much had the course to ourselves. Ice cold water was available and the course itself was fun!
Excellent Find
The course was beautiful, the fairway and greens were in great shape. Great value!
Not bad.
Very enjoyable course to play. Nice layout, well kept, friendly players and staff. Check the edge of the cup before you putt, some were a little ragged. Putting surface in great shape. Not bad for a Texas golf course.
Sun city golf
Great cheap course that is worth it. Only issue was amount of deer that were walking the grounds
First Impression
Very nice course in retirement community north of Austin . In great shape despite recent rains , flooding. Apparently well-known large , severely contoured greens putting quickly. Pace of play excellent .
One complaint was militant , near-hostile woman at check in. Confused rapid fire pace for friendliness . One in our group was arriving right at tee time from Dallas due to police shoot-out that closed I35 . A request to delay start by one tee time was met with incredulous "are you kidding ? We are booked solid !" when in fact there was an open time before and after ours . We didn't see anyone infant or behind us until #7 .
Great Course and friendly staff
I enjoyed our afternoon after having played the other two neighbors: Legacy Hills and Cowan Creek Golf Courses in Sun City (Georgetown, Texas) this experience was wonderful as the other two before.

Enjoyable Day at White Wing
I found this round of golf to be a good value and the course was in good shape. The biggest drawback was the inconsistency and shagginess of the greens. Secondarily, the range was a bit chewed up. Otherwise, it was a good day of golf on a fun course.
Peaceful Afternoon
I arrived early, as I was unsure of where the course was. As it turns out, getting there was easy. Getting there early was also a great way to get a feel for the place. I found the staff to be very friendly. After telling them it was my first time there, I was given a tour by one of the Marshalls, he even set up the on board GPS for me. Asked about my game and gave me a few suggestions on how to manage certain holes. I was there early enough to take advantage of the fine practice facilities. I played by myself and had a nice and peaceful round of golf. The course was easy to navahate as the cart path directed you to each tee box.
The course was well maintained. I have already begun to tell my friends. I plan to return very soon.
A good afternoon to end day of golf.
Fair pace of play on front nine. Had back nine to ourselves-excellent play.
Hot deal
Played on a Saturday with a 1:39 tee time , got to 18 and got dark. Beautiful course , greens had been sanded and were slow , but nice views, quiet , turkey's and deer on the course. Slow pace but worth the money
Great $$$ value
We ordered food from the clubhouse after the 8th hole and by the time we reached the club house we waited 5 minutes or so and it still was not ready.
Good Shape and Mosquitos
It was nice shape. But We couldn't play very well because of lots of moquitos. We was chased by mosquitos so that we could finish 18 hole so early.
We will not play here without spray for mosquito.
toughest of the three, bring bug spray!
I play Legacy Hills and Cowan Creek more often, but I think this is probably the prettiest of the three, and the most difficult. Mature trees splitting the fairways, forcing precise tee shots, or layups. And mounded greens with severe undulations. I thought a few of the pin placements were too penal. Overall pace of the greens were slow.
From the back tees, three of the par 3's play 195+. But, three of the par 5's are reachable in two.
Best short game practice area in the city. Downside is it's for Sun City residents, or if you have a tee time.
Make sure to bring plenty of big spray, as the back 9 has a major mosquito infestation problem. One guy in our group left after a few holes. Really bad around holes 10, 17 & 18. The course super was aware of it. Luckily I had some spray. Pro Shop should mention it at check-in.
Nice greens
This course is a great value for the money. $44 for a 10:10 Sunday tee time.
The course is in great shape.
Phenomenal
New greens were great. Fairways in good condition. Great price and round.
Hot and fast
I played late afternoon in 90+ degree heat, so I pretty much had the course to myself: finished 18 holes in 3 hours. I was pleasantly surprised how good course conditions were: tee boxes green, fairways watered, and greens in mostly good shape. If you don't mind the heat, you can get in a quick round.
This course is in great shape and well maintained.
Great course, nice lay out. You have the option of four different tee boxes to choose from. Greens roll true and fast with the grain slow and true against the grain. Well taken care of. Will go back again and
again.
price was decieving
We thought we were getting a great rate in this course. We drove up and there was no one around which seemed odd for a holiday weekend. Unfortunately it was not advertised that they had temporary greens which took away from the difficulty and playability of the course.
trouble greens
The course has temporary greens on every hole. There was no mention of this on golfnow our at check in. Didn't find out until we got to the first hole. Had we known we would not of played.
White Wing Golf Club
Overall this corse was great! Friendly/professional staff, pace of play, fairways, and restruant were extremely nice. I will deffenetly be recommending this corse to others!
