Par 72
Length 6718 yards

Rating 73.7

White Wing Golf Club opened its first opened with nine holes in June of 2000, and followed shortly thereafter with the complete package. Often compared to the nearby 1996 Legacy Hills, White Wing isn't quite as long, but is definitely more narrow, lined with massive old oak trees, some of which are located right in the middle of the fairway. Many times even if you pure the tee shot down the middle, you'll be forced to hustle a punch shot under one of these majestic trees.

Billy Casper's design is known for its challenging par 5s, one of which is the signature finishing hole. No. 18 plays downhill into a split fairway, offering a more aggressive shot to the right that must clear Berry Creek at 210 yards out, which gives you the chance to get home in two. If you play it left, you'll need three good shots to get to the green, one of which will involve dealing with one of the huge oaks that looms in the fairway.

White Wing Golf Club's most difficult hole is the par-4 No. 4, which requires an accurate tee shot between fairway bunkers, followed by an approach over a bunker into a multi-level green

Great Course, over-booked

Excellent value for the course conditions, recent rain made it that much better. Every hole is challenging enough with varying club selections off the tee. The only problem I had this particular day was that the course was overbooked and GolfNow was adding pressure to an already overbooked course. For example, the pro shop was allowing singles, who were not paying attention to pace of play, nor attempting to pass slower groups. Only saw the marshal once all day. Other than that it was well worth the time and money.

Decent width of fairways and excellent greens.

Large well-contoured greens in carpet-like condition. Requires a good read of the breaks to make the putt.

Course was in great shape

Expectations are high whenever you play any of the Sun City courses and I wasn't disappointed. The course was in great shape and White Wing is pretty narrow so it is a tough round, especially for a high handicapper like me.

Medium long and fairly tight.

I enjoy playing White Wing. It requires playing a variety of clubs off the tees on the par 4's and 5's. Well placed tee shots are more important than the use of power on most of the holes. The par 3's have challenging greens and require well placed shots off the tee. The greens are in good shape at this time.

Nice Course

Beautiful course, tees, fairways, greens and bunkers were in excellent shape. Sun City houses do not encroach on play.

Great course, nice design, good value

Every part of the course was better than most courses from tee to green. Undulating greens are a little on the slow side, but not at all bumpy. Greenside bunkers had powdery white sand and some are deep to where you can't see the surface of the green. Noticed some fairway bunkers had different sand, those were still at least average. Play was slow at about 5 hours, but normal pace is 4 1/2 hrs here. Excellent layout, fun for any level of golfer. If you haven't played here, you need to.

Well maintained, nice layout, easy to play for the mid to high handicapper

Nice course as expected in Sun City. The layout is nice to the eyes and does not present a lot of opportunity to get into trouble. Plenty of bail out areas on the par 4's. No cart service for drinks and snacks; however they had plenty of water and ice available on the course. Glad for it since it was about 102 degrees the afternoon I played.

Value was fine, course was in good shape, play a little slow.

It's a good course for medium handicappers. Accuracy is the most important quality in your shots. Got behind a foursome that had trouble keeping the ball in play, and made pace of play really slow.

Beautiful course to enjoy a pleasant round of golf

This was my first time in White Wing and even when we had a very slow group of four ladies paying in a tournament in front of us and it took almost 4 hours to complete the first nine holes it worth the experience. Very nice layout with fairways in good shape, greens in excellent conditions and bunkers well sanded. I will repeat it as soon as posible.

great condition, speedy round.

Considering the drought central Texas is in and water restrictions in place, White Wing is in very nice condition. Fluffy fairways and full greens. The staff (cashier) was unattentive and didn't honor our merchandise discount we were supposed to receive with our Golfnow reservation.
The pace of play was swift, i will be playing here again.

Challenging Course.

White Wing is a challenging course with some pretty tight fairways. The course provides you with water coolers as well as ice and coolers for the drinks you bring. This helps in the Texas heat.

Beautiful course to play

White Wing is wonderful. The mixture of blind fairways, hills and hazards--all wrapped in a beautiful package, beautifully maintained--made White Wing a superbly pleasant challenge!

slow play and unfriendly golfers.

Ok so I got this on a fire sale. Great price does not make up for the slowest round I have played ever. Nor does it make up for the rudness of what I assume are the members out there. I know I should not condemn the basket for a couple of bad apple's but it was the whole basket that was bad in this case. Pitty because it is a nice course.
