Seaview - The Bay Course
About
The Bay Course is one of two 18-hole courses that the Seaview offers. Designed by famed golf course designer, Donald Ross, it was the first course of the resort and it is also the more famous of the two. Over the years, they made renovations but it was eventually restored to Ross' original links design.
The greens are small and undulating and the Atlantic winds definitely play a huge role in the game. The 2nd hole is the signature hole with a yardage of 432 and a par of 4 that can where the ocean serves as a hazard. Seaview's Bay Course also hosts the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

(Caution) I was hit into multiple times.
I was hit by a ball after repeatedly asking the group behind not to hit into me. Let me start off by saying I absolutely loved this course. The Ross design is old school but extremely playable and forgiving. The problem I had was not with the course, it was the staff and leadership. I booked my time as a single last minute due to a schedule change and was to be the 4th player for the specific tee time. Once I arrived I was told that they overbooked my tee time and sent me out on the second hole ahead of the director of golfs 4ball. I played 3 holes without issue. Came to hole 5 a 291 yard par 4, I hit my second shot long out of the bunker and was searching for maybe 1 minute before I heard a ball land on the fairway. I proceeded to wave my hands letting them know I was still on the hole, the one player then drove the green and nearly hit me in the face. I pleaded with them to stop and they started yelling at me so I just picked up and moved two holes ahead. I continued on and on hole ten they drove it over the trees and the ball hit inside my cart and struck me in the thigh very hard. Long story short I wrote them a very level headed email about this and received zero response which just confirms with me it was the director of golf and just because he’s a better golfer and knows the course better than me on a course for the first time that he could care less about his customers or their safety. Please be careful if you choose to risk it to play what is otherwise a very nice course.
Excellent time at the Bay Course
The course condition was great and pace of play was more than acceptable (round took 4hours). I love playing The Bay Course and this experience further reinforces my sentiment. A big thumbs up!
Great staff, excellent food, too pricey.
Course was fairly well kept and there are nice views. The food after was absolutely outstanding and the staff were great. I feel like these prices are getting out of hand though. $130 for mid afternoon time during the week is nuts. That should be peak time and day for this course
Not Worth the Money
Not sure why the significant price increase. Course has always been in good shape but it is definitely not worth 165$ per round. There are many other courses in the area that I would play before I played the bay again.
Excellent facility
Best public course at the shore without a doubt. The bay course is challenging and have wonderful scenic views of Atlantic City and the pines course is a fun and challenging layout, I feel like the pines gets a reputation bc it's "not" the bay course but it's a great course in its own right without the views and the green head flies that come with the bay course. Everything at seaview is exceptional, the food, staff, pro shop, locker rooms is all great and it truly has a old club feel which I love.
Expected more for the money
Overall the course was average. I assumed playing a couple weeks after the LPGA was there that the course would be in much better shape. There was weeds in the sand traps, lots of dead grass patches around, etc. I didn't think it was worth the $185 price tag. I have played other courses in the area for a lot cheaper and have been more satisfied. Great setting and views though...they just need to keep it up a bit better!
