The golf course at the Colorado National Golf Club is an 18-hole, public course that is situated just 20 minutes north of Denver. Jay Morrish designed the formerly known as Vista Ridge golf course with a traditional links-style layout. The course covers 7,579 yards of golf from its longest tees and plays to a par of 72. Rolling fairways lined with native grasses and large, undulating greens make the golf course interesting, while beautiful views of snow-topped mountains provide pleasant scenery. The course has many bunkers as well as water hazards. Colorado National Golf Club also features five sets of tee boxes for golfers to work on a number of different handicaps.

Great layout! Poor management!

The layout is fantastic! Facilities very nice. We had a 130 tee time and when we arrived from Denver we were told we were delayed about an hour due to morning delays! Totally understandable for this time of year but was very surprised that the course didn't throw in range balls or give us a discount seeing as we had to wait an extra hour to tee off! We were told we would not have a problem finishing however after a 5 + hour round it was very dark when finishing. Maybe think about having a ranger on the course on the weekends! As a former competitive player I would be very disappointed if this was my home course or if I paid for a membership here! Too many good courses around Denver, no need to come back and play here!

winter conditions

I would say that I want to go back and play again when the grass is in. The greens are hard to read and the speed was different on each hole. Playing in March you take a chance. However, the front nine is a challenge. I do like the GPS telling you about the hole and how to play.

Course features.

The course is challenging with some wonderful scenery. The design is set among all the lovely homes in the development and the foothills. I will return for some more rounds.

1st time @ CO National

My friends and I played CO national for the 1st time this past Sunday. We had an afternoon tee time and it was at a great price.
The weather was beautiful day for mid-March golf.
It is early in the season so the course isn't in its top condition yet, but the fairways were clean and played well and the greens were nice, but not very forgiving.
Overall my friends and I had a great round of golf and will definitely be back to play the course this summer. I can't wait to see the course in its full beauty and play in some summer conditions.

Slowest Play Ever

Cart path only and play was delayed 45 min due to frost. Round was over 6 hours, going on 7. Called the club house for a Marshall to speed up play and none ever showed. Pro at the desk was rude and the gal on the CU golf team who played with us also said he was rude to her. We like the course, but stay away because of the pro and his bad attitude.

When will management figure it out????

Great Views

I am disappointed with their customer service having played there multiple times. There seems to be a overall lack of sense of urgency and they don't seem to appreciate your business whatsoever. With that said this course is kept in great shape and has superb views of the mountains from almost every hole.

Somewhat disappointed

I've played this course several times over the past few years, and there always seems to be a few holes in terrible shape. The course layout is really nice and fun and there are a lot of challenging holes, but the condition of the course always seems to be lacking. No chipping area either, just a putting green.

Get a staff...

Course conditions were OK. Pace of play was OK. Where is the staff? Signage and direction is weak. I just kinda went where I wanted, where the holes were open., C'mon... Would recommend under $40...

Great variety and challenging from the Gold Tees

The course layout is excellent. It's getting late in the season (November); but the course is still very playable and in good condition. Greens putted well. Play was fast and good prices are available on Golf-Now,

Nice vistas but course needs help!

Nice staff, bar and restaurant. Scenic location, great views of the front range. Course in ragged shape, too much sand on tee boxes, fairways ok. Greens were either really slow or dried out and very fast. No consistency on green speed.
The ranger left early for a busy weekend golf course. 4 groups on the par 5 on the back, when we asked the cart girl ( friendly!) where the ranger was, we were told he went home!!
We paid for 18 but only played 9 because it was TOO SLOW! A round killer.

It's not what they think it is.

Poorly managed coarse, the pro shop, the driving range and the coarse itself. I will place it on my top 10 worse coarses I've played in Colorado.

Decent course needs work

This is one of the few courses north of Denver that can challenge your game to the max. The greens still need improvement here but the rest of the maintenance was very good. The staff was decent but the clientele could use some humbling...
