Banchory Golf Club

About
Less than 20 miles from Aberdeen, Banchory Golf Club has a long history of delivering a great parklands golf option to Scotland. Built in 1905 and originally designed by John Souter, Banchory has the antiquity and location to make it a popular outing both for locals, as well as those who have hooked up a Scotland golf package.
Set above the scenic River Dee, Banchory is a scenic par 69 layout that will challenge golfers of all levels. Because while not particularly long at just over 5,801 yards, strategically placed bunkers, mature trees and the waters of the River Dee provide obstacles that can test low handicappers as well as high.
Including a memorable clubhouse, as well as lessons from the club pro, Banchory Golf Club has stood up to the test of time for more than 100 years, and seems to get better every year.

Banchory
Good and well maintained course excellent clubhouse facilities.
Overplayed and tired
Played the course for the first time in 25 years and was a bit disappointed. Felt over played and dreadfully slow round.
Banchory
Very nice course
Shame most of the greens had been plugged as they really didn’t play well
Ground staff were also mowing greens and made us wait at least 4 times on approach shots
The rest of the course was top notch
Aberdeenshire’s Augusta
Cracking course, fairways and greens were in outstanding condition, has to be the best parkland front 9 in the Aberdeenshire area.
Course in brilliant condition and greens are the best I've ever seen them!
Great course in great condition
First time playing this course, but was very impressed with the course layout and the condition of the course and the greens.
The pace of play was unfortunately very slow, but still enjoyed it.
A little disappointed that they were not serving any food in the clubhouse (apparently there is no food on a Sunday, which seemed like a missed opportunity) as we were planning to eat there as well, but we just found somewhere in town instead.
Very friendly, course in excellent condition
Very friendly members. Course was busy but pace of play good, 3.5 hours.
Excellent fairways and very good greens.
Friendly
Staff and members friendly. Course in excellent condition. Very busy but still got round in good time. Smashing layout.
Well worth a visit.
Our third visit and although there were several GUR areas on a few holes the course was in good condition. A number of really challenging holes 2nd par 3 measures 217 yards off yellows when we played! Friendly welcome and played a a reasonable pace despite there being a medal taking place. Sadly the club didn’t have any catering staff so coffee from clubhouse only.
Beautiful course
This was a a great course to play. The course was in very good condition. It has some very interesting hole’s especially on the back 9. Staff were helpful and we would definitely play it again
great course to play.
Great course to play even though we played in mid-November, the course was in great condition. Greens were very, very slow but other than that I couldn't fault the course. Staff were great and the other players were of a good quality, so we were not held up at all. Would definitely recommend playing this course.
Great course
Weather was excellent course good condition playing was good paced no hold ups.
