Aboyne Golf Club

A very picturesque and well.maintained course. But I wasn't impressed that they let of 4 ball of 12 year olds play unsupervised. They were taking over 15 minutes a hole. Holding up 5 groups behind.. And not letting anyone play through.

2 different 9s and in windy conditions the back is good only for low number players.

We really enjoyed the round at Aboyne. Welcome from staff warm and friendly as always. They even opened the kitchen early for our bacon rolls!

Course was in magnificent condition given the lack of rain. Greens were superb. Always a fair test of golf.

Course is not the longest but has its little challenges especially in the closing 9 holes when you enter up across the hills and long par 3’s. Greens were absolutely fantastic like a championship course if not better. Would very much well recommend to anyone. Stunning scenery as you play throughout the whole course. I’ll be going back that’s for sure.

Played on a sunny Saturday expecting most courses in the area to be mobbed. Aboyne was definitely on the quieter side and this made the experience a lot more enjoyable.

Putting green and nets were well kept and the course layout was interesting with very well kept greens. Would definitely play again with excellent value for money and views into the surrounding hills.

What a lovely course and in great condition. The clubhouse was a great place to sit after the golf and take in the views, the food was also lovely. There was 4 of us and all loved the food. When leaving, the golfers all said we would love to play this course again.

Aboyne is always a great place to play & well worth a visit. Beautiful scenery with 2 distinct 9s presenting different challenges. We have been coming back for a number of years, this has long been 1 of our favourites.

First time playing and really enjoyed this course. I went round with a couple of members who asked me to join along as I was a single and glad I did as were very friendly and with a few holes having a couple of blind spots they were very helpful on my way round the course. Conditions of the course were excellent and well maintained. Clubhouse has good views and welcoming. Plenty of tee times and pace of play was very good. I would definitely play again and the par 3’s are very challenging holes. Highly recommended

Wonderful golf course. Excellent greens. Fastest I’ve played on for some time. Staff were excellent. Food was excellent. Just an all round brilliant place.

Finally managed to get a round in at Aboyne whilst on holiday. We played in near perfect conditions, dry , sunny with a little bit of wind. Still playing off winter mats unfortunately, but totally agree with. Struggling with the pace of parkland greens as we're used to links courses, however they were in superb condition. Well done to the greenkeepers and the staff for the condition of the course. Also to the staff who made us very welcome. Thanks and looking forward to returning to Aboyne.

Wow! What a course! The greens were immaculate and beautifully kept.

We will definitely be back. My husband said it was his favourite course for a long time.
