Good practice for your short game.
Generally a 3 par course. 2 holes are 4 par. 1 of the 4 pars are drivable. You hit off Grass. They just implemented a field Marshal because people were jumping on the course without paying before. This has helped the waiting times at each hole. You still back up at the 2- 4 par holes. But that is what it is. For the price this is a good deal. FYI the driving range will be closed for a period of time after a rain because the driving range is actually a catch basin for rain water before it goes into the river bed.
Killer deal!
Course is in the best condition I’ve seen in a long time! For $19 on a weekend morning, there is literally nothing to complain about! Yes, occasionally you might be behind some slow players but that’s to be expected at a pitch&putt length course.
Overall, it’s a 9/10 right now *for what it is*
Great place to play at night!
I always enjoy playing this course. It is very easy to walk and the holes are very short but still challenging enough to be fun. The best thing about it is that you can play at night!
Sunday morning golf
You get what you pay for @ 19$ Greens are always nice
Best bang for your buck!
This course for a first time wasn’t too bad. I would have expected more maintenance on the course for the $48mo. they charge for membership but hey it’s a interesting course with its own challenges! Great for any levels of skill.
Need help.
The staff are always nice but course is corporate managed so profits are more important than pride of ownership. The greens are usually in good shape but the course has a 3 month accumulation of leaves , twigs, and branches throughout. Your worst side hill lies are on the t-boxes. The traps are rarely raked although they have added sand recently. The fairways would make a cow angry. With a little attention the course could be great. It might be time for a letter writing campaign to the city of Lake Forest to hire a new management company.
I wasn’t happy. It’s not Mainternance.
I will never coming back this golf course.
Thank you.
Crowded
Lots of families with small children on the course making the wait very long.
Par 4 took my ball.
Very short par threes decent par 4 par fours. But not easy by any stretch. Greens were fast and you have to learn to have touch around the greens. We had a great time. Every hole has a different look and it’s as advertised on the bunkers. I’ll admit I did not have the pleasure of splashing out of one. We will definitely be back more often. Thanks.
Making improvements
Greens are in the best shape I've seen here. Not as many pitch marks from golfers who don't repair them as there have been in the past. Bunkers are being renovated with new sand added. Unfortunately for me, the ones I ended up in didn't have new sand yet.
