Best bang for your buck!
This course for a first time wasn’t too bad. I would have expected more maintenance on the course for the $48mo. they charge for membership but hey it’s a interesting course with its own challenges! Great for any levels of skill.
Need help.
The staff are always nice but course is corporate managed so profits are more important than pride of ownership. The greens are usually in good shape but the course has a 3 month accumulation of leaves , twigs, and branches throughout. Your worst side hill lies are on the t-boxes. The traps are rarely raked although they have added sand recently. The fairways would make a cow angry. With a little attention the course could be great. It might be time for a letter writing campaign to the city of Lake Forest to hire a new management company.
I wasn’t happy. It’s not Mainternance.
I will never coming back this golf course.
Thank you.
Crowded
Lots of families with small children on the course making the wait very long.
Par 4 took my ball.
Very short par threes decent par 4 par fours. But not easy by any stretch. Greens were fast and you have to learn to have touch around the greens. We had a great time. Every hole has a different look and it’s as advertised on the bunkers. I’ll admit I did not have the pleasure of splashing out of one. We will definitely be back more often. Thanks.
Making improvements
Greens are in the best shape I've seen here. Not as many pitch marks from golfers who don't repair them as there have been in the past. Bunkers are being renovated with new sand added. Unfortunately for me, the ones I ended up in didn't have new sand yet.
Horrible place to go
It was very dirty. Even green had lot of dropping so I could not play.
Walk on’s are killing the pace of play
Nice corse for the price. But the pro shop is off to the side soo to many groups walking on ahead of the paying groups been golfing there every Sunday morning for years with a 6:40’tee time but go to pay and when you get to the first tee at least 3 groups waiting ahead of us
Nice little nine hole course
I enjoyed playing here- tested my iron and short game. Pace of okay was fine for a Sunday am. Course rented clubs that were adequate and reasonable. The greens were in great shape and the 4 pars were a challenge . I would definitely return
Not going to wow you
This course could be great but it falls way short of that. Greens were in ok condition. The tee boxes and fairways were terrible. The water looks gross, landscaping and walk paths are in bad shape. They do have a chipping area with bunkers which is awesome but again, the landscaping isn’t good. The course sets up really well for beginners and great for short game practice for a better player. Just wish whoever runs/owns this place had a little more pride of ownership.
Too many walk on’s a head of us that actually pay for a tee time
Nice corse but to many walk on’s ahead of people that actually pay for the tee times
