The Links at Hiawatha Landing
About
The Links at Hiawatha Landing sits along the banks of the Susquehanna River, nestled between the Finger Lakes and the Catskill Mountains. It's one of New York's premier upscale public golf courses. Despite the name, the course has more of a heathland layout than a true links course since it lacks the seaside location that is the cornerstone of traditional Scottish links golf courses. The design still has many links features though including windswept sand bunkers. The rolling terrain provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic and the tall grasses make accuracy a necessity. Water comes into play on seven holes but there aren't any forced carries or blind shots, making the golf course approachable for even high handicappers. The Links at Hiawatha Landing finishes with a challenging par 5 that doglegs left around a large pond.

nice time.
I was visiting the area and found the course through golf now. Nice course in good shape, greens seemed a little hard but it is July. One "got'cha" hole, #18. Until you've played it once, it's hard to know where to hit your drive. It looks like you can cut a corner and get rewarded, but it is much further than it looks. Otherwise I enjoyed the round a lot. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Great Course Value
Loved playing this Links Style Course, we had +15 winds which made things interesting but it was a fun round.
PROs -Course conditions, Staff, great practice facility with a wedge green, driving range and putting green.
Room to improve - Not a big concern but if they repaved the cart path and renovated the hitting area of the driving range this course would be perfect.
Would definitely come back and play again.
Always Good
Had and enjoyable day, to the group in front of us who kept searching for balls in the water or high grass, just drop and go because you probably not going to find it.
Nice layout
Quite early morning round with rain coming at some point, was able to play quickly, every hole is different from the one before. Need to keep it out of the high grass very tough to find balls that go off the fairway. Very good experience and will be back.
Beautiful course
The course is in great shape as usual. Friendly staff reasonable costs. Play it if you get the chance
Great value
Cool day but what a great value and the course was in good shape. Staff are always very friendly.
Nice Layout
The course was in good condition considering we haven't had much rain lately. Play was a little slow but it was a nice day hot and everyone wants to play in warm weather.
Very nice golf course . Staff
Play was a bit slow but steady. THe course condition was really good and they were working on the course while playing Best course in the area and is a challenge and fun ! Would love to play again and again
Great course!
I love this course. I have played it a couple times now and every time it's extremely enjoyable! The course is always it perfect shape as well.
Great Layout!
This course is fun and challenging. The greens are a little on the slow side but in good condition. I really enjoyed this course!
Good value and fun round
Great course with friendly pro shop staff. We were stuck behind a slow foursome with multiple holes open in front of them. I wish we would have had a ranger, but overall great round and value on a course in good condition.
Fun Course for a good price
The course was in great condition in spite of recent rains. Great layout with interesting and challenging holes. Has excellent greens and fair tee boxes. Very good value.
Great course, excellent value
My buddy and I booked a hot deal on a Sunday afternoon for $15 bucks. This was an unbelievable deal as the course was in great shape. If I had to be nit picky the greens were a bit slow but healthy. The pace was 4 hours and the layout was solid. Can't beat that hot deal. Definitely would be back.
Great, Except Pace of Play
The course is in the best shape I have seen it in a while.
Pace of play was the only issue...no ranger with the course full. There was one foursome holding up 5 groups!
Would return on a less busy time, granted it wasn't a Friday afternoon.
