Newbattle g c
Good course friendly pro shop staff please give visitors the door code for toilet and a hot drink at the end of the round.
Lovely day at Newbattle
Course had pleasant wide fairways which were a bit burnt due to the prolonged period of sunny weather and little rain. The greens were in average condition, a bit slow but green and with growth (I am certain the greenkeeper was purposely keeping the grass a little long in view of the dry conditions). The members were very courteous and we played through two 4-balls very quickly and easily got round in under 3 hours. The catering staff, the food and selection of drinks were all excellent. Overall a very enjoyable round.
Very pleasant round of golf on an enjoyable layout. Course conditions were very good, greens were running extremely well and fairways were also very tidy. Nice touch for the Pro to adjust our time too as we were running late
Winter Rules
In advance of our round there was nothing to advise that fairway mats were required either on the club website or golfnow. As guests we adhered to the rules but disappointing to see numerous players in other groups not doing so.
Enjoyed the course and would play again.
Excellent course
This was a great course and we'll be back in the summer
Winter greens
Winter greens where not great holes all over the place and very sandy
Having played before it is a lovely course and would still recommend
