As a golf experience, sorry to say not good. Was not told at the reception desk that we were assigned Split Rock, not Pelham? That's rude!

Before play toilet tissue was mostly unavailable in 3 of 4 stalls...not good! Course was much improved over past memory but still plagued by unplayable rough, roped off wet areas and overabundance of old growth overhanging trees!

Spli rock amenities ar 9th/10th hole turnaround and cart person availability is good. Three dollar parking fee is not! Where's that money going?

BUGS GALORE.

Will never play here again. The bugs were absolutely overbearing. Buddy I played with has 87 mosquito bites on his legs. We applied bug spray every hole.

Not worth it at all.

The bugs are a serious problem. Back 9 was better than the front.

Bring bug spray

The challenging big brother of the 2 courses, split rock demands precision, power and patience.

Today the on course staff (starter near the carts, beer jockey at the turn, and beer cart girl were all mia, mean, or both.

The course is dried out on several holes, and no one fixes ball marks. Still a pretty good course.

Mosquitoes

Now, Pelham course has lots of mosquitoes. Definitely you need bugs spray to protect your body.

It used to have so many mosquitoes at Sprit Rock course but Pelham course too.

Split Rock is unplayable

I booked Pelham Bay through GolfNow only to find out that they assigned me Split Rock.

We were unable to play more than 6 hole because of the number of bugs on the course. We had plenty of bug spray and yet have come out bitten all over.

I am extremely annoyed at this experience.

Course in excellent shape. Greens fresh cut rolling very good. Fairway bad on #4 but rest of course was excellent. Bring your shotgun a few turkeys on course so you can get ready for Thanksgiving lol.

Great course but needs to learn how to use bug spray

Overall the course was great and no wait for a morning tee time. Throughout the course we kept getting but by mosquitos. No course is worth waking up at 2,3,4am itch my legs as there is a fiery burn coursing across my body. So many mosquito bites! Literally over 4 dozen covering anything that was exposed including my face. They need to spray the course and surrounding Forrest for control!
