Fairways were in good shape two green were damaged Photo submitted by phischman on 08/07/2013
Too many golfers are allowed out on each day
Tee times allow FAR too many golfers on the courses. Golfers are not spaced out properly. Groups ahead of us played like it was the Masters yet their skills were clearly the MINORS meanwhile the group behind us kept asking to play through when it was obvious there was no place to go. Top it all off by get hit into multiple times. We quit after 9 holes. Only to find the Monitor in the same spot we left him when we teed off. In a cart at the snack bar. No one else was watching players no one else made sure pace of play was kept up. Awful experience.
Great for a Quick 18 on a Random Day
I like the course, it is not world class and it isn't the easiest to get to unless you uber or drive. I still enjoy coming back and plan to come back again at least 2 more times this summer (I change up where I play often). I would recommend this course to any level player.
Pace of play was just way too slow/course too backed up. Took over 2.5 hours to play 9 and there were some 5somes out on the course
Course in great shape: pace of play pretty good
Played Split Rock in a Friday morning. I haven’t played this course in a couple of years and have heard some horror stories about pace of play, bugs and gnats swarming greens and shabby tee boxes. None of it was true. Fairways and greens in excellent shape, 4 hour round and bug feee. Sand traps could use some work and the rough was very thick for a muni: also the pub isn’t open yet. But all in all a good experience.
Not worth it
Staff is really nice. Fairways on Pelham course aren’t great. Many dried out and rough is so high. Beverage/snack cart never came around. No bathrooms on course. Have to pay for parking and the parking lot if a mess. Tons of pot holes. Not sure why they even charge. With so many public options there is no need to travel there to play.
Buggy and over booked
Eaten alive by mosquitoes and waited at every hole for multiple groups in front of us.
Got better but........
Since this course are now expensive than the past years. The condition is amazing green were rolling true. Fairway are in the best shape I have ever seen. (Been playing here for yearssss)
Tee box is are nice (most of them) that being said
The big big problem is still the mosquitoes. Especially on split rock
From hole 6 -9 you could have been suck dry seriously. Maybe in the colder month.
Course Selection
when on the website we selected to play Pelham yet when we arrived Split Rock was assigned?
