5hrs 30 mins to get a round in.
Too many people are being booked on this course, it took 5hrs and 30 mins to complete the round, waiting on average 10 mins per hole to tee off. That is simply not acceptable and would make me not want to play this course again. Additionally it was +90 degrees, I saw one water cooler and it was empty, and no cart being driven around to supply drinks.
Good Course
This is a good course with some open fairways and a good mix of doglegs and straightaways. Not a whole lot of unfair hazards.
Pace was way too slow. Rangers needed to make 2 groups ahead to skip a hole.
6 hours for 18 holes is ridiculous!!
Fun round but no water stations
Was a 90 degree day and the drink cart person called in sick and no one took the time to put out water stations. I asked rangers and they had no solutions. Other than dehydration, the round was fun.
I didn’t play
I didn’t play because the app must have had a bug as it scheduled me for Thursday instead of Saturday. At the time I booked I confirmed date and time and the confirmation email was incorrect.
Overall, it is good.
The course is well maintained. The conditions and layout make a course that both beginners and intermediate players can enjoy.
Courses in great shape!
Course is in great shape after a rough week of rain. Pace of play on the front is always a bit slower. Picked up at the turn. Overall, a very good day.
Another great round at Pelham
Course is in great shape. Second week playing 9 holes on early Sunday tee times. Pace of play was incredible. Once again finished around 2 hours with 4 golfers.
Investment in Pelham Bay Shows
This is an undervalued golf course, the investment by NYC makes this an attractive course to play. Most holes are lined with sand traps, well sculptured and filled with soft sand. Most of the greens were in good early season condition. Carts ran well.
My only recommendation is to add fairway traps along left side of 17th and 18th holes to narrow fairways somewhat.
Others enjoyed day on Pelham Bay .
