Mosholu Golf Course

I played Mosholu for the first time and loved my experience. The course is in good condition, the staff is extremely friendly, and the layout is fun. I teed off around 8am and was done in an hour. The layout gives you the chance to practice multiple different shot types. You can decide to hit it long, risking it to squeeze into tight approaches, go for greens, or focus on your iron game. The slope on the greens creates a fun challenge, and adds another element to approach shots near the green. The practice area is nice as well, much more than you find at other nearby courses (large putting/chipping greens and a bunker area). Excited for the range to open up next door!!

Also, note that google maps gives a weird route to walk from the 4. There is a path through the woods that is pretty visible and only takes a few minutes.

I enjoyed my time at Mosholu. The company was great and the weather enhanced the experience.

The course is ready for the spring rush. Great grounds crew.

I generally don't review things that I couldn't actually do, but that's the point of the review. I showed up for my tee time and found a line of 6 people waiting ahead of me. Then a line of another 6 people formed behind me including another group with the same tee time. Since the course is walking, it takes forever for a group to clear and rather than wait and then also have multiple groups on our tail, we just went somewhere else. Also, the driving range has been taken over by a youth group and is not even usable for the public and the putting green has no holes in it. The course had no carts, no balls for sale, and no tees. I'm sure it's a fine course if you come in the middle of the workday,.

Played 9 holes. Pace was good. Would of played another nine but had to leave.
