Same great conditions as on Monday
I played on Monday and the course was in the same great shape.
I did find that some of the ignorant golfers were out in the sand traps again although I was able to do some extra raking this time around.
Enjoyable day on the course
The fairways were in exceptional shape and great to hit off of. The greens were nice and firm. The only complaint that I have is for the inconsiderate golfers who never raked the sand traps. I was only in two and raked footprints of others. I saw other traps that were full of prints with rakes all around. Maybe send a ranger out now and then to observe and scold/teach. Same with ball marks on the greens.
We had a great round. Greens were in great shape. Running quick and true. Pace of play was great on the front, a bit slower on the back, but still played in 4:25.
Amazing especially for the price
For $35 couldn’t beat a fast round of 18, with the sights immaculate greens and fairways. Do NOT hit it in the rough!! (Gentleman at the front wasn’t lying when he said don’t try to hit it long just in the fairway). 10/10 will be back if I’m in the area for sure!!
Great course
We always enjoy golfing at Mill Creek. Friendly staff to greet us. Very nice elec carts with GPS and an onboard cooler prepped with ice and bottled water. Course conditions are always great. We choose the silver (forward) tees because the course is quite challenging. Mid week mid afternoon pace was terrific. We were a 2 some and finished 18 in 3 hrs. No waiting. The proshop, bar, and all interiors are very nicely done. Good selection of brews at the 19th hole and a deck to enjoy them on with a great view & breeze. This place is awesome and the value can't be beat anywhere! (Tip: must take a cart as it would be very tough to walk this course.)
Could be better
In town.wanting to play. Course in the middle of nowhere very nice condition. Rented some mismatched old beat up clubs. Had to ask to have the dried mud washed off. Paired with two young men who helped me know where to hit as there are many blind shots. They quit after nine. Just tooo slow. Nice course not a great experience. I’m a six handicap and I do know what makes a good round. Try somewhere else.
Great Friday Afternoon
The course was enjoyable and challenging. Staff was great and friendly.
Cart paths are terrible. First cut of rough is way to thick. Need to lower the blades on the mowers. Coarse is tough enough without the thick rough.
Great day on the course
Course was in great shape. It's a very challenging links course with elevation changes, all grasses and deep bunkers. Usually plays a little slow when crowded with people looking for their wayward shots. We caught the single in front of us and added the single behind us and had a great day.
Tough rough
The NY state boys tournament was played last weekend and the course was still in tournament shape - extremely long rough, quick greens and nicely mown fairways. They were actually cutting the rough back as we played but you didn’t want to be in it. It made my first round of the year quite challenging.
