Golfer Reviews
Nice course
The course was very nice, considering it is still early spring conditions. all tee boxes were out which is nice! The course is challenging, though being an older disabled player I could not play a few of the holes, due to carts in cart path only. I will come back here again when I can use cart fully on the golf course. The area is very pretty the views are beautiful. Also, I might add the snack bar had reasonable prices and had the first of the season Itilian sausage with peppers and onions.
Under water
The course should not have been available for golf now subscribers. It was early April and not ready for play. With no rain checks l wasted my time and money.
Nice little treat.
Pretty decent little public course, Some good challenging holes and in pretty good shape as well for late May. Speed of the greens varied a little but I would expect that for the time of year. Design is well thought out. Some blind shots and not knowing how some of the landing areas would play out from the tee box was a disadvantage. Now that I've played it and know the layout, I would like another shot at it. Played from from the whites but would recommended playing the tips for those 10 or less handicappers. (<<< 7 handicap)
A wild and wet round at Mill Creek
Mill Creek provided one of the wetter, wilder rounds I've had in a long time. A massive drenching couldn't dampen my enthusiasm for the course. It recklessly poured for about 20 minutes, forcing my threesome to hide in the trees while the green became a swimming pool. Amazingly on the other end of the storm was the searing sun that dried everything out incredibly well. The layout drained like a champ.
The clubhouse sits at the highest point for golf in Rochester, overlooking the ninth and 18th greens with the elevated first and 10th tees nearby. These dramatic hills create some cool golf holes, notably the back-to-back par-3s, the uphill ninth and the downhill 10th. The elevation changes do force first-timers to endure a couple of awkward moments - the uphill par-5 11th and uphill par-4 18th holes - but they can be forgiven in light of playing golf in such beautiful farmland surroundings.
Mill Creek is AWESOME!
Mill Creek is easily in my top 5 for the WNY area. Always LOVE playing here!
I only had issues today due to slow players ahead of us who did not appear to know what they were doing on the course. They parked their carts in the middle of the fairway of the short par 4 8th and walked up the green!!! That prevented us from being able to hit our tee shots until they finished out the hole. That was my boiling point! This has everything to do with these particular people and does NOT reflect Mill Creek EXCEPT that they allowed one of these players to play in JEANS.
For me.. once I see jeans, then I know I am in for a LONG day. They should be STRICTLY banned!
Great course.
The course is in pretty good shape despite the amount of rain we have had. The greens were a bit wet but well maintained and were pretty quick despite being wet. Not much carry on your shots - again due to the wet conditions. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and thanked me several times for playing their course - even the starter was a great guy.
great play
Excellent shape,1 of the best courses in Rochester- top 5, must play
Beautiful course
A few challenging holes but great scenery and great conditions right now.
Mr. Gori,
We apologize for the unpleasant experience you had and would have been happy to issue a rain check through our course policy. Unfortunately our records show you purchased the hot deal on golfnow.com and the procedure for that would be to call Golf Now for assistance. From that point we are happy to verify the change in weather conditions when you come off course with Golf Now so they can make a decision for hot deal rain checks.
Thank You,
Mill Creek Management
I agree. It wasn't worth the $29 to play. But I found a hot deal for $12.50 tomorrow and even though the fairways and greens haven't been cut this season... it's worth it for that price with a cart
