The Dunes At Maui Lani Golf Course

Carts are old and not clean. Course is challenging but fun, lots of wind today. Grass or what I called grass with lots of bare spots. Rental clubs were excellent! Not sure I would play again at the price I paid today. Bathroom are disgusting!!!

Other than the all too common pace of play woes that impact golf today, The Dunes at Maui Lani is a truly enjoyable golf experience. The fairways are wide yet hold many terrain challenges. The irregulary shaped greens are are well maintained. Simply put, golf here is fun.

Trades were really blowing which made it hard to judge clubs plus lots of elevation changes. Don’t be afraid to move up a tee box as distance is deceiving with wind and elevation. Still a fun course to play.

It is a tough course especially with the wind. We were stuck behind a slow twosome with no one in front of them. They would not want to let anyone play through and often hit multiple balls off the tee. It took over 4 hours for the round. Way too long for twosome. They need to send someone one to move slow people along or let people play through. Otherwise, the experience was average.

Great course, great staff, great facility. The first 9 holes were much easier than the second 9 holes. Lots of uneven lies on the back 9 and fairways were a bit more narrow..

This course has mostly wide fairways. Pace of play was very fast. The sand was not consistent or well maintained. It seemed that many people do not take the time to rake the traps. The greens were in excellent condition. The fairways not so good. Food afterword was GREAT!

We play this course when we are in Maui b/c good value. Greens and facilities are adequate. No GPS on golf carts.

This seems like a fun course but they are crooks. They let me schedule a 4.25 tee time. I arrive they take my money, then tell me I have to be done by 6 pm. I say well then don't charge me full rate he says I can't these are the rules play as many holes as you can. I say refund my money he says I can't. I go play and four holes in the guy is on us and says we need to close at six. I say really there is a group of six in front of us. He says oh well, follow me. He escorts us to the tenth tee and says you can play 10 through 12 and head back. We get back and I approach him again and say you really are charging me full rate for 6 holes. He laughed and said yes. In my younger days I would have punched him. Golfnow should not allow them on this site.

Nice layout. Greens were a little slow but smooth. Need to upgrade carts. Some are in poor condition.

Wonderful course and excellent facilities! Warm up because you’re going to need it! I am a 15 hdc and played with two other 15 hdcs. The first three holes lull you in with wide open easy holes then to some heavy terrain changes and blind shots, with lots of uneven lies. Superb! Bring you’re a game and a laser with slope, you will need it, because there is no GPS. An APP on your phone will help a lot. My only regret is that I waited to play this course at the end of vacay and could not play again. Excellent layout and greens, definitely worth the money. Bring extra balls and get busy!

Fun to play. Mostly very green. Scenery is great, awesome view of the mountains, nice and hilly, some holes are difficult which makes it more fun. Few water hazards but if you lose your ball in the deep grass it’s gone. I’ll be back!

Really nicely kept course . Some forgiving holes and some that were quite a challenge . Nice mix for average golfer as I am .

Course is very challenging for my skill level. Had an enjoyable round. Would like to see GPS on carts. It would be nice if coffee was available before the restaurant is open. And, if getting really picky, electric carts instead of gas. I don’t know if their infrastructure can support that. Overall a really good value. ,great staff and enjoyed the day.
