The Dunes At Maui Lani Golf Course

The course conditions were very good, greens a little firm but would still hold. The design accommodates the terrain with the front being somewhat benign but the back gets interesting with some steep elevations changes. Some course knowledge might have saved some strokes. A second opportunity to play the Dunes will be more enjoyable given some do's and don'ts..

Google Maps when you enter the address puts you a mile away. When you put in the course name, you are directed to the maintenance storage area. Greens were in great shape, but sand traps need much better raking, since there are none available because of covid state guidelines.

Good value for golf on Maui. The greens were in great condition and putted very well. The course has good degree of difficulty. Really enjoyed it. Pace of play was good on front 9 and slowed up on back 9 but was decent. Unfortunately a bit cloudy so could not enjoy the views of the mountains. Would definitely play again if fortunate enough to return to Maui.

This course has never disappointed me. It’s a fun layout, played It from the green tees. Greens were consistent from 1-18 and the wind is no worse than any other course. Actually most of the course winds thru trees and brush so it’s more protected than some of the resort courses that are wide open and more expensive. The staff is friendly and helpful too.

Played this course for the first time and can’t wait to go back and try it again. Very challenging course with elevated firm greens that were in really good shape. Great course for a tough but fair challenge of golf.

First time playing here. Really enjoyed it. It is like playing Grand Del Mar. Got to plan your shots on quite many holes. Superb fairways and greens. Well maintained! Will play again next time in Maui.

Great views and fun holes. Greens slow but a challenge due to undulations

They don’t allow walking and seemed surprised I was unhappy. I bought some range balls but they forgot to give me a token. Course is ok but has some strange holes. Number 10 has an elevated tee and plays sharply downhill. You can’t really see the landing area. Everyone thought I’d hit it in the left side of the fairway but the left side slopes off and I ended up against a tree. Bad break, but undeserved.

Challenging layout- back nine more difficult but fair. Greens are in excellent condition

Nice course layout. Very challenging back nine, and the greens were in great condition. I would definitely play this course again.
