Forfar Golf Club

Thoroughly enjoyed my round this morning at Forfar. Course in great condition considering heavy rainfall overnight. Greens ran true and what a stunning course. It will be on my shortlist for membership next season. £45 felt great value for money. Staff on arrival very helpful and welcoming also.

Played here for the 1st time and was not disappointed. Welcomed by a friendly lad on the counter who took the time to explain the course, how to play it (can’t be over powered) and he was spot on.

Course itself was in excellent condition, greens were as good as we have played on this season.

A tricky layout with some wild undulations.

Clubhouse was very inviting, and well priced.

Will certainly be back

Overall good course enjoyable and in good condition but pace of play did detract from the enjoyment

Course is about accuracy rather than big hitting, was tough for me… but enjoyed it all the same! Pro was spot on, very pleasant gentleman with great knowledge on the course and a few insider tips 😂 1st time playing I’ll be back again but maybe when I’m somewhat better… clubhouse menu looked reasonable although never tried it. Definitely worth a go !

Enjoyable round and plenty of blind shots kept you concentrating

Played here twice within a few days now. Was that impressed on the Wednesday, we came back with one more golf buddy on the Saturday. Gentleman in the club shop before our round gave us a fascinating history of the course and a few pointers about individual holes too. It really is like an inland links course with so many different lies and high lipped bunkers. Just brilliant all round. 👍🏻

Excellent experience from start to finish.Visited Pro shop on arrival to discuss tee time then used clubhouse for a snack and drink.Members were a friendly bunch,all in all a great visit.

I’m surprised that this course is not better known, it’s good - some very interesting holes, well maintained and a very friendly club house to view the 18th with a beer!

Excellent course in top condition and most welcoming and friendly pro in the club shop who was very informative and helpful and a credit to the club, will definitely be back

Had a great days golf. Play was a bit slow due to a party of golfing in front but weather was good and we were enjoying the course which is well maintained. Stopped for a light lunch and staff all very helpful we will go back next time we're in forfar

Such a pleasant exoerience to find conditions like this on a course I had never heard of. Greens superb, fairways not far behind. Presentation of the course excellent.

Simply stunning. Well worth the drive up from playing the usual courses in Fife.

We were greeted and briefed on course layout and condition, by friendly staff member before we started. The course was on winter tees but full greens. Played off mat's. Fairways and greens were in good condition given the time of year. The only very minor criticism is the mat's at the tees were a little difficult to tee up for driver.

Booked a round of golf and whst a beautiful spring day. Course was immaculate but on winter greens. I check with all surrounding courses and they were all on full greens. Spoke with members who were also dissspointed. Absolutely no need to be on winters. Just laziness of staff yo move pins. Avoid this course October to 1st April. What a shame as this course is great.
