Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort - New Course
About
Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort (formerly known as The Osprey Course at Piperdam) is so named because during the summer months, Ospreys nest at the loch that the course surrounds. The event has become such an attraction that the Piperdam Osprey Centre, an observation facility for visitors, was built. The course has a parkland style layout with water hazards and out-of-bounds stakes. Golfers are quickly introduced to the challenges of the course with the par-3 first hole, which requires a careful tee shot over water in order to reach the green. In addition to the scenic course, Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort offers a 12-bay driving range as well as boat and bank fishing on the loch.

Fairways and tees bit patchy and generally the course just needs some care as bit untidy
Winter Greens
I was not aware that the first hole was unplayable and that we were playing on winter greens. Until l had paid and this information was passed over to me at the reception, just before I was due to tea off.
Poor draining
Water logged everywhere. 4 ball in front that wouldn’t let us through (2 ball) Greens so slow.
Only good thing about this course is the scenery.
Piperdam
First time playing. Short but tight and greens are brilliant with pace. Would definitely come back.
Great Day
Loved the course and the facilities and the friendliness of the staff - especially impressive given that we’re emerging from Covid-19.
Course is well maintained and laid out and we really enjoyed plotting our way round it.
Lunch was excellent too. All round great day..

Lovely day, with glorious Scottish flora. The course was in excellent condition, with fast and true greens, and good width for driving. It's very much a case of two halves. The first is on the side of a hill, so every shot is rolling down one way or the other. The second is relatively flat, though holes are a bit samey. There's challenging length throughout, with water also to fly directly over, as well as ditches, burns, and small ponds at intervals. The back nine can be unexpectedly wet underfoot. That said, design is good--not excessively 'modern', so bunkers are strategically placed, giving several choices. Worth a trip.
a day at Piperdam
had a great day at Piperdam on Friday 1st Sept, teed off at 11.23, the weather was perfect for golf, calm, sunny and warm, course was in great condition(had their Senior Open the day before), the staff, from the pro shop to the restaurant were very pleasant and helpful, definitely play it again
Piperdam
Great course, better than expected.
Plays short and green were pretty true.
