Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort - New Course

About
Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort (formerly known as The Osprey Course at Piperdam) is so named because during the summer months, Ospreys nest at the loch that the course surrounds. The event has become such an attraction that the Piperdam Osprey Centre, an observation facility for visitors, was built. The course has a parkland style layout with water hazards and out-of-bounds stakes. Golfers are quickly introduced to the challenges of the course with the par-3 first hole, which requires a careful tee shot over water in order to reach the green. In addition to the scenic course, Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort offers a 12-bay driving range as well as boat and bank fishing on the loch.

Thoroughly Enjoyable
Great course, wonderful views, good test of golf and amazing value for money.
Course condition
Playing as a three ball and all of the same opinion. The tees were in a very poor condition with the whole teeing area all divots which had not been repaired for some time. The greens were also in a poor condition. The fairways were in a reasonably good condition apart from the 8th which was covered in bird droppings. Very little sand in the bunkers which also had a lot of stones in them.
Wouldn’t recommend playing here even though it was on a ‘Hot Deal’ and that would be the most I would pay for a round here.
Great find really enjoyed our round
This is the second time of playing this course. We stopped off on our way down from Inverness. Starts with a short par 3 over water so you need to be warmed up. As a female golfer I found the course quite testing as it is over 5100 yds long yet the course rating is only 69.5, par 72 slope 121 so I played off less than my Handicap index. The course was in very good condition apart from duck and geese droppings on fairways near the lake. Overall though I would definitely recommend this course. Very quiet midweek and a pleasure to play.
Top notch experience
Can’t speak highly enough about my experience playing piper dam, fantastic setting and a wonderful course.
Really surprised that it wasn’t much busier, but I’m sure once the secret is out, they will come.
Well done to all concerned…. I’ll definitely be back
Piperdam Rating
In Scotland visiting from the States. 3 of us played at Piperdam. Weather was outstanding; windy, but that is to be expected. The staff was super friendly and set us up with club rentals and balls for the round. They have a handful of buggies (carts we call them), and we were able to use them. All three of us, with buggies and clubs, paid about 60 pounds each. Clubs were not great, but sufficient for value.
The front nine zigs and zags across the side of the mountain with few trees, but the back nine is more wooded and borders some houses. Surpisingly there weren't very many scenic holes compared to what we were expecting. Most holes were faily flat (or on the side of a mountain). Greens were cut long and rolled really slow. Fairways were in decent shape, and the rough was plush but not too long for the average golfer to manage.
If you're looking for a super nice course, this isn't it. But for the value it was a pleasant round of golf
Enjoyable, relaxed golf
Was just looking to pass a couple of hours on a sunny Saturday afternoon… enjoyed the course. Interesting, visually appealing and the chilled vibes coming from the afternoon wedding venue band added a touch of class to an enjoyable afternoon!
Excellent value and great to play
Played on 7.6.24 after heavy rain fall and found the course to be in very good condition. Great views across the course. Greens and fairways were excellent and running well. Pace of play was good with no hold ups. Not hard to walk, buggies and trollies are available. Very friendly staff in the pro shop. 1st time playing and definitely play again. Well worth a visit.
Good Scottish experience.
Good place
good people
good experience
bad weather...;-)
No winter mats and fantastic staff!
Had a great round on a challenging course at a very reasonable price. I’ll be back
Great value
The course was in great condition and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall it was very good value for money. Will visit again.
Vert disappointed
Booked through golf now. Course was closed as we're nearly every course in Scotland due to flooding. No refund and very difficult trying to contact golf now.do not touch them with a barge pole
Nice layout and can only get better
Played here on an inclement day and enjoyed the course. Some nice holes and some really nice holes with very few bland efforts. Only gripe was the greens. Some of these were extensively damaged and took the Adobe away from what works have been an excellent course. Apparently veteran greens have been vandalized and whislt this is out of the control of Piperdam it was still disappointing to only know this see we played the relevant holes. Overall though very decent course with potential to be top notch
Great deal
Great course and deal pity the buggie was more than the golf though! Enjoyed the course and friendly members letting you through !👌👌
Expected better
We were a 3 ball playing behind 3 lots of 4, who were all going round in buggies. Even with that it took us almost 5 hours to get round. The course itself has had some vandalism on their greens, which isn't there faultz but did impact on some of the play. The fairways are nice and wide but there was a lot of water lying on some of the late fairways. Disappointing.
Great course.
Came for a nice quiet round with the wife walking, course played great and conditions were amazing ashame about the greens that have been ruined but that's no fault of the course staff. Would maybe say a tiny bit over priced at £30 but wouldn't complain had a great day will be back for sure.
