East Kilbride Golf Club

About
East Kilbride Golf Club playing as a Par 71 is a tough test of golf a parkland course with lots of trees it can be a tough track when the wind blows, and it usually blows. The greens are quite large and are usually in excellent condition. The fairways are generous and plush. Toughest par 3 is number 10 playing at around 200 yds and depending on the wind can be anywhere from a Driver to a 8 iron. #10 green is guarded by bunkers on the left and right. Toughest par 4 #11 from the back tees #11 plays close to 400 yds it is a severe dog leg left with the fairway sloping at a 45 degree angle to the right there are two large trees that guards the dogleg on either side of the fairway. Toughest par 5 # 13 Playing close to 550 from the back tees #13 is uphill usually in to the wind there is a dogleg to the right at around 100 yards from the green this dogleg is protected by trees to the right and a bunker on either side the green is raised and so the pin position is tough to judge. East Kilbride is a good test of golf and I recommend it score out of 10 is 8.

Good course in nice condition
The condition was good for this time of year. Has a nice variety of holes and elevation changes so you don’t play the same shot all the time. Will definitely go back
Longest par 5 I've played 515yds great !!!
Enjoyed another game at Nerston today course in great condition considering the wet weather we have had greens fantastic this is a must play course once everything is back to normal fantastic pro shop wish friendly n helpful staff bar n food is great give this place a go if you have never been u wont be disappointed
Great local course
Played here today, was a really nice track, some of my scores were not full, but it’s March and the greens are not running smooth, but it is March..! The layout was good and the members were some of the friendliest nicest people I have met. I think in a few weeks this place will be fantastic
Great course.
A great course. The course is in a good condition considering the poor weather over the past few months. Staff and members where friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend.
Winter Round
Great course conditions even though it had been raining a fair bit.
Winter greens on some holes but still enjoyable. Can’t wait to play in the summer. Practice grounds looked great, clubhouse looked well kept and modern.
Great layout with interesting holes
Liked this course great value for money . Staff very frendily and helpful.
Fantastic
The course was in fantastic condition considering it was 3 days before Christmas. Luckily the course was not busy so pace of play was great. For £9 on the hot deal I don’t think you’d find a better place to play condition and layout wise, even in summer. I cannot comment on the food etc as I just played golf but the new clubhouse looks lovely.
Idiotic
Travelled 39 miles to play this course having pre booked through the app for 1pm...only to find that the course was closed and had been all day! The pro looked at me blankly and said "these things happen". What? So when the decision is made that the course is closed in the morning nobody has the capability or initiative to send a quick message or make a quick call to Golf Now letting them know that no more bookings should be allowed that day?! Pure ignorance, waste of time, shambles, idiotic.
Fantastic Venue
What a Gem
This was an out of the blue search, but what a wonderful event. The staff were wonderful, very welcoming and helpful. The course was in fantastic order and a lovely challenge of golf. Clubhouse facilities were excellent, definitely be back.
In great nick
Was in great to conditions, even after all the rain we had on Monday.
Greens were terrific, ball was running on the fairway..
All in all a great course, will be back .
Very friendly club
Arranged at short notice. Club pro very helpful. Course tricky as dry with blustery wind. Enjoyable.
Luck day
Turned up on Saturday waiting for the rain (as promised)
But it was a very calm late afternoon, found the front 9 a doddle, defo easiest 9 (without wind) back 9 apart from the short par 4 , think it was 15th ??
But I bogeyed it anyway
I play of of 9hdc but I could see carnage at any hole with wind, it’s a tree lined course, but if the wind was up I d fancy a higher score
But I’ll play it again soon
Great value for money And I left a few out there, but don’t we all ???
Friendly staff too
Dry underfoot
Really enjoyed playing this course. It has a couple of memorable holes. Quite a challenge.
