The best course south of Chicago.
Throughout my decade-long of golfing at Lost Marsh Golf Course, I have found the experience to be consistently enjoyable. I am confident in stating that I have never encountered any disappointments. The staff and starters consistently offer exceptional support and customer service. It is a fantastic golfing venue.
Greens horrible
Green conditions very poor. It's has nothing to do with with staff or course maintainance. It's all about the clientele that play there, no one fixes ball divots on the greens. I could have fixed 50 on every green. Pace of play very slow also. Otherwise great place to play.
Greens need help
First time playing this year, the greens were in horrible shape especially on the first hole. Divots on the green size of baseballs, also people don’t know how to fix ball marks, the greens were not cut or cleaned probably the worst I’ve seen it, I would have fired the greens keeper manager
Lost Marsh Great Course
Course is always a test. Pretty much everything is in great conditions. Couple greens had more debris than you would like for this time in the year, I remember 7 especially. 8th tee nox was not in good shape. These are quibbles though. Overall a fun challenge and great value.
Greens are garbage
I don’t know why it’s so hard for golfers to fix a ball mark. If you’re good enough to make one then you’re plenty able to fix it. These greens are so awful we started taking auto 2 putts. The ball would look like it’s on a gravel road when trying to putt to the hole.
Course was otherwise in good shape. I’ll be staying away from this course for a while until hopefully the greens get fixed.
Truly Unique Chicago-area Golf Experience
The most reasonably-priced upscale course I have ever played. Unusual layout with lots of challenges. First 5 holes definitely not for the feint of heart. Keeping your composure and your shot control is a must to safely navigate 5 challenging water holes in a row right off the bat from the #1 elevated tee. As my headline says: unique!! Hole 6 returns to more traditional (and less stressful!) golf. Yet, holes 10, 11, and 14 bring new and unusual challenges. Even significant terrain relief on a few holes - rare for Chicago area. Great place to put your game to a thorough test.
Course Conditioning is outstanding. Clubhouse is spectacularly high-end. Quiet electric carts with GPS. Friendly, helpful staff. Well-stocked refreshment stand next to #8 and #13 greens.
Truly top-notch experience on every level. All for a Hot Deal price in the low 30s. Wow! (but bring your “A” game, and extra balls!)
Bring your friends!
Ever wanted to test your friendship as well as your golf game? This course will have your coolest buddy on the verge of a melt down through the first few holes. If you plan appropriately you can get ahead on the card by playing safe and then enjoy the back 9. Fun course, good condition and a nice facility.
Great course
If you're the type of golfer who doesn't hit it straight, bring plenty of balls. Very challenging. I used everything in the bag.
Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear
Can’t tell the fairway from the rough
Greens roll decent
Not many yardage markers
Nice Get Away
Great proximity to the City. Serene vibes just don't look south the eye sores of Gas Plants and pollution factories make it a rude awakening as to what's happening ING to our green spaces. Lucky they were able to forge this beautiful course in the midst of a dreary backdrop.
Spectacular as always just cold.
Been here couple times now as a beginner love the course. In great conditions friendly staff. Challenging course but fun. Sand bunkers still in great condition in mid November
