About
Prairie Landing Golf Club has received acclaim ever since first opening in 1995, including a four-and-a-half-star rating from Golf Digest. This West Chicago course will make you feel as though you've been transported to a seaside links course in Ireland. The prairie-style layout closely follows the tradition of classic links golf courses. Robert Trent Jones II designed the course, fully utilizing the rolling terrain. He incorporated large, undulating greens and rolling bent grass fairways. Vast swaths of native grasses stretch along the fairways and strategically placed bunkers frame the greens. There is also contoured mounding to contend with. The golf course finishes with a memorable par 5 that features fairway bunkers on the left followed by a carry over a lake to a well protected, high bowled green. Prairie Landing also boasts a practice facility that includes a driving range with target greens, four practice holes, and a nine-hole chipping and short-game area.

Great Course BUT
Thursday afternoon golf with my 19 year old son and cart fee was $40. !! Really nice course but overpriced compared to other really good courses that include cart.
Silly mask rules to enter pro shop ! I mean you can’t just social distance ?! Please !! Now when Governor Pigsly says no more masks I guess will all be safe!
Great course
Manicured perfectly, staff was friendly, fun layout. While pace of play was slightly slower than typical (today was a 4 hour round versus typical 3.5 hour round here), the marshalls did a great job getting the group ahead moving. For the value this course is the best in the west suburbs.
A must play
Beautiful setup that requires lots of different shots. It will definitely take a few round to know the right places to hit. I was fortunate to play with a few locals that helped guide me around. Great maintenance, beautiful layout, and friendly people at a fair price

Awesome track. Very fun course. Opportunity to be creative. Some tough shots off tee. Great condition.
Beautiful Course
First time playing Prairie Landing and it was a great challenging course! The staff were super friendly and informative. The course was well maintained and had great views! Will definitely be returning again.
Great golf course
I love this course. It was in immaculate condition today - everything was: tees, fairways, greens, bunkers. The staff are friendly and were very efficient at getting everyone away on time with the Covid restrictions. Pace of play was fast. A pleasure to play here.
Played 2 days after heavy rains. Holes 11 and 12 were closed, but because they have fantastic practice facilities you were able to play their 2 practice holes to make a full 18. Even with the rain/flooding, this course was great. So much fun. Will be back.
Spring golf at Prairie Landing
Good price ($31) but on GolfNow it said “includes cart.” It was walking only and they only have a few pull carts, so I had to carry my bag. I have some foot/ankle issues so had to stop after 15 holes. Never would have booked it if I had known it was walking only. Also still had aeration holes from last Fall still so crummy greens. Play this course once every 6-7 years because it’s close to a friend’s house. I am set and won’t need to come back until at least 2026. Maybe update the settings in GolfNow so it says Walking Only like every other course does. And note the greens have holes from aeration.
Great links style course (mostly on the front nine). Well maintained. You can usually get a good deal for a round on Golf Now.
Challenging, but fair
My home course. Never gets boring. Plenty of risk reward, and nice scenery.
Great Course & Practice Facility
This is a fantastic course that can play to all skill levels. The course is challenging without being absurd and is very consistent through all 18 holes. Jones has put in several risk reward holes that will test your skill and nerves if you decide to take the risk. The grounds keeping staff keeps the course in great shape all the time and the staff are fantastic and very helpful! The practice facility is unsurpassed in the area (including private courses) and will help you hone your game in all areas.
great conditions late season, super firendly staff
beautiful course! still very green in late fall. maintenance staff out and keeping course conditions very great! they're always blowing leaves off greens, fairways, etc. Course...is excellent links test! Lots of hills/undulations and large greens. I really wanted to leave a review because all staff was so kind and welcoming! we were 2 of maybe 5 "dedicated" golfers on the course today and staff was really really welcoming, supportive, funny, kind and went above/beyond with helping golfers. It was 50 degrees out with 20-30 mph winds. Let's just say cold!!!
Our wonderful staff experience: when we were about to make the turn it started to drizzle. One of Prairie Landing staff members drove out to meet us around the 9th green to ask if we needed dry towels or anything else to deal with slow drizzling rain and windy cold conditions!! Just crazy great hospitality!!! Again, there were only 2-4 people on entire golf course at the time and they are out there still helping us! super super hospitality! thank you thank you and it's sometimes little things like this that makes for an above excellent experience!
Excellent track ,Greens in great shape
I would recommend this course. Greens and fairways in excellent shape. Must hit your targets or else you will find the hazard.
