About
Prairie Landing Golf Club has received acclaim ever since first opening in 1995, including a four-and-a-half-star rating from Golf Digest. This West Chicago course will make you feel as though you've been transported to a seaside links course in Ireland. The prairie-style layout closely follows the tradition of classic links golf courses. Robert Trent Jones II designed the course, fully utilizing the rolling terrain. He incorporated large, undulating greens and rolling bent grass fairways. Vast swaths of native grasses stretch along the fairways and strategically placed bunkers frame the greens. There is also contoured mounding to contend with. The golf course finishes with a memorable par 5 that features fairway bunkers on the left followed by a carry over a lake to a well protected, high bowled green. Prairie Landing also boasts a practice facility that includes a driving range with target greens, four practice holes, and a nine-hole chipping and short-game area.

Hidden Gem in West Chicago
Prairie Landing is a wonderful course, providing a fair test for golfers of all skill levels. The layout combines elements of both links and parkland-style golf, requiring players think their way around. The course is well-maintained and in great condition, especially considering the wet Spring. The staff and facilities are top notch - I highly recommend you put this course on your rotation.
Great condition
One of the top public courses in the area. Unfortunately there are some long distances in between holes so walking is slow. Good layout for golfers of various skill levels. I’ll be back!
Top Course in west Chicagoland
My favorite course in West Chicagoland area, the greens were punched within the last week or 2 but in very good condition! Continues to impress every time I go there
UNREAL
Prairie landing was fantastic. The layout and design of this course is second to none, and the greens were rolling exceptionally well for this early in the season. Fairways were in great shape, and the staff could not have been more friendly. The practice facilities were incredible as well. It’s a tough course and it will punish you, but you won’t get bad breaks off good shots. Diabolical pin locations make you really think about going at the flag. Each hole is in general absolutely beautiful. One of the best munis in the Chicagoland area, no doubt.
Good April Round at Prairie Landing
My partner and I were pleased with the course condition on April 13th. There were some wet areas and several GUR areas, but overall the course was in good playable condition. Unfortunately playing conditions on this day were difficult due to cold and winds. I look forward to playing this course when there is more grass in the fairways and on the greens.
One of the best
This course offers the complete experience; terrific pregame practice amenities, inspired design and superb conditions.

Golf course was in great shape for an April 6 round. After we played we found out it was ranked number two in Illinois. We will be back in June or July to play again. Absolutely love the course. Worth every penny.
Late fall golf
The course was in very good condition for late fall after previous snowfalls. Played in four hours. Very friendly staff and a great price to play!
One of the best in western suburbs
A must play amongst the west suburban courses. Great amenities, challenging layout.

I've had the pleasure of playing Prairie Landing when the weather is a perfect 75 calm and sunny and when it's cold and blowing 30 mph. Today was the latter and as far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter.
The course was in excellent shape for this time of year (November 1) and it played as good as anyone can hope for late fall golf in Chicagoland.
Fairways in great shape and greens were running quick and true. The layout is unique, challenging yet fair, and always a joy to play. The course is clearly very well taken care of throughout the year. The staff in the clubhouse and the Starter were in great spirits and friendly. I very much look forward to returning again and again.

Great but not easy
Great deal off golf now - this course is usually out of my price range.. it was in great shape as it always is. An abundance of challenging holes. There is also 2 practice holes that u can acess b4 your round - thoroughly enjoyable
A golf course full of challenge.
Played this course for the first time, didn’t help that I was unfamiliar with the course layout. But it was fun playing this course specially this time of the year as you can take your time knowing that there’s no group waiting behind you every time you are preparing for your next shot. Looking forward to my next round specially now that I am familiar with the course layout.
