About
Shorecliffs Golf Course wanders through the coastal canyons and valleys of San Clemente, heading towards the beautiful shoreline. Situated just steps from the ocean, the course enjoys cool ocean breezes and a temperate climate, which makes it a year-round haven for golfers. Its location also provides the golf course with plenty of scenic ocean views. The course features narrow fairways tightly lined with trees and small greens bordered by sand bunkers. The front nine is shorter and requires more accuracy than the longer, wider back nine. Shorecliffs opens with one of the trickiest par-5s in the area. This dogleg left hole features trouble both left and right. Although the layout does offer a fair challenge, players of all skill levels will feel comfortable taking on the golf course.

What a new face!
Love this unique course, construction is almost down, course is in great shape, new pro shop looks very nice!
Still over priced
The whole course isn’t even open but they’re charging premium rates? At least knock of $10 like normal courses when theyre doing construction or post aerated. I get that this course is doing a lot of work, but they shouldn’t be taking advantage of their golfers. No reason they shouldn’t be booking out their tee times everyday, clearly over priced dog track.
This course is under construction and is a little wonky at the moment. May be be better in the future.
Great value
They have undergone a true course and amenities change. I really enjoy the staff friendliness. The course is way better than it was in the past. If you played here in the past and were disappointed with your experience, I would try it again.
Pleasantly Surprised
A lot better than it was a year ago, they've made massive improvements. The course was in great condition and the pace of play was good. Years ago I used to only golf here as a last resort, but now I'll be adding it to my rotation.
Great people! Great local course
Super cool staff, great layout. Can't wait till they're done with the back side. The grass and the greens are so much better than a few years ago. Lots of improvements, highly recommend
Poor customer experience concern by management
We only finished 10 holes in 3 hours. Left the coarse because the back 9 was more backed up than the front. Called office after leaving due to time restraint, manager was “shocked” to hear my experience and there was nothing that she could do. No partial refund or option to come back later to play back nine. 🤮
Shorecliffs Big Changes
Really enjoyed my round. Haven't played there for a few months, last time around it wasn't a very fun, this time around however much much better. Thing is the course is a few weeks away from the changes that have been years in the making. Once they get the permission to open the new Canyon Hole the course will be flipping the front and back nines around. This should make for a very different experience. As it was, the greens were in great shape and the fairways were pristine. I have a time scheduled for 4/9 and am looking forward to the round.
Great for 💰
Course is in great shape. I've been playing here on and off since e 2009 and this is best I've seen it. Looking so forward to them opening Canyon Hole and flipping front and back nines. It will make the course that much more enjoyable.

Dont know whos writing these reviews, for the price this place is not worth it, a par 69 and under 6000 yards, and horrible construction. Places marked off in the middle of fairways if the fairways themselves arent closed
For the value it’s great. The course is under construction so some of the holes are a little wacky. Views and elevation are great too.
In transition but lots of fun!
Great staff. The course was a mix of easy and challenging holes. Greens were excellent. The course is in the process of a full renovation. Will be great when it is finished too.
Really good for the money
I have played there many times before the sale of the driving range and the course was, excuse me for saying so, a goat ranch, not good. I have now played there many times during the construction of the new clubhouse and remodeling of the course. It is now almost complete and I will be sad when its done because word will get out it is a good track with great greens and is in great condition. If you have not played there in a while try it out and you will be amazed.
