Bartow Golf Course

About
Bartow Golf Course is a municipal course that offers an affordable yet challenging round. The course has a classic design with an interesting mix of holes that range from being wide open to narrow and tree lined. The postage-stamp-sized greens demand accuracy and there are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. Build up your score on the front nine before tackling the tougher back nine. The golf course has enough challenges to keep more advanced players satisfied but it's forgiving enough to appeal to beginners as well. One of the most memorable holes is the par-3 13th. There is a tree that stands right in the middle of the fairway, forcing you to either go over or try to get around and risk going in the sand trap.

Best course in the area for the money
Myself and my son and grandsons play this course frequently. I am new to golf and the people there are very helpful answering my questions and serving my needs. Just wish I had taken this up a few years earlier.
Donald Ross design
Nice course for the money. Donald Ross design with a few changes. Nice relaxed setting in Bartow.
Bang for the buck
I love the course, pace is always good, especially in afternoon, and it's in pretty good shape w/ some challenging holes and nice yardages. Can't find a better price!!
home course
course is in decent condition fast plane friendly staff recommend it to everybody thumbs up
Great Golf Course
Even though only 9 holes were available to play, the 9 holes we played were in excellent condition. We have already made plans to play again. Greens and fairways are in great condition. Very challenging golf course.
Good course for families
The course was wet due to all of the rain we are getting in this are of Florida. Course management set up the course for players to play the driest parts of the course.
Good course for the price
Good value city course. Needs a little work but on it's way to being a great value.
AOK
Every thing was good. Very friendly staff and quite accomidating.
Best condition I've seen this course in the past 8 years..
I'll start off by saying this course has never fit my eye but for $7.00 on golfnow I couldn't go wrong. I expected the greens to be horrible as usual but was pleasantly surprised. The greens were in the best shape I've ever seen them. I've lived in the area for over 8 years and have spent a fair amount of time playing this course and it's usually in pretty bad shape. IMO, the greens are the difference even when a course lays out bad or has less than par fairways, if greens are good you tend to overlook. If you haven't played here in a while give it a try, I think you'll be pretty surprised. Now if they'd just update that clubhouse..
Stirm Damage
Holes were closed due to storm damage. Overall pace olayed well.
good time
Course in fairly good condition. some greens were getting bad, but it's that time of year. would play again.
Good Venue
Was a single and paired with another single. Had not played this course in about 4 years. Was pretty fast through the 1st 9, then got behind a 5-some and came to a stall. The pair behind us caught up and we teamed with them. Course was in pretty good condition. Greens well maintained. Everything is dead level on the fairways. Definitely will play this course again.
Bartow
Always nice with flowering trees and big oaks.
Left a ball with gator who made noise when near.
Fun course, but conditions could be better.
I have played here many times and course conditions have improved a little bit over the last two years. Tight lies abound and there are some sandy spots on otherwise pretty good greens. There are too few golf carts since a cart is not available until just before your tee time if you play in the afternoon. Electric carts sometimes loose battery power before the round ends since they have to be recycled for the pm rounds. Pretty good place to play if you move your golf ball away from the roots that protrude under each tree. (I know, keep it in the fairway.)
Great value
Course was good for February, greens were in good condition. Sand was playable. Staff very friendly
Good Little Course
This is a typical small town municipal course. The course was in good shape considering the number of people playing. Tee boxes needed some work but the fairways and greens where in decent shape.
flat wide open easy
green could use a little attention. play is a little slow, course seems to gets a lot of play.
