nice to see it back
I played twisted oaks years ago and if you live in Florida courses with elevation are like gold. it was always a cheap and quick place to get 18 in. For the last 5 years i have not been back. I returned today and was blown away. I asked the groundskeeper and he told me the course has been sold 3 years ago and ever since they have been improving it. Course was in excellent shape greens were quick and true fairways were great. This is a fantastic layout and now the conditions are perfect was like getting a old friend back it is a great value and i happy to put it back in my rotation.......
Greens and fairways outstanding
This course has outstanding greens and fairways in wonderful condition. Course is open and fair but has some challenging and difficult holes. Nice clean clubhouse facilities and restaurant staff.
stay out of rough very very hard to advance
from the time of checking in to lunch after round we (my foursome) had a very good experience and would recommend this course a must play. difficult layout, very good greens, rough is plush and tough
greens are terrible
every green is terrible, most tees are in better shape than these greens. layout is good. to bad could be a nice course. will never play again. played two years ago heard it was much better, not true.
Greens are shot.....again
I can't recommend playing Twisted Oaks right now, as much as that pains me to say. My favorite local course has let their Greens rot again. Fairways are in great shape, as are most of the Tee Boxes, but ALL of the Greens and some of the Tee Boxes are dead and void of any sign of green grass. I wondered why there was nobody around for a 1204 Tee Time, but by the time I approached the first Green, I figured it out. There are courses in the area that have been able to maintain their grounds and charge less.
One of the best in the nearby of Inverness
We were happy that we were almost the only ones playing.
Fairways good
Greens good ( a little bit pitty that they were sanding them without that we knew that was donna happen)
Reliable
Course is always in very good condition, price is a little high, but worth it.
The greens were in good shape like most of the rest of the golf course. I would rank it with the Muni, Candler Hills, and Stone Creek here in north central Florida for conditions and enjoyment to play. Staff too are very funny like the rest of these courses.
Good Round at Twisted
Everything was great. However there was a little too much sand on the greens. When it rains again (????) the course will be perfect!!
Enjoy this course!
I played Twisted Oaks many years ago before I lived in Florida. I have been anxious to return and my expectations were right on! The course is in great condition. Every hole has something unique about it.
We can't wait to return!
Hidden Gem
Google maps doesn't lead you to the entrance, so give yourself a couple minutes lead time to this course. We breezed around in 3 hours 30 minutes which was surprising because it seemed very busy. The greens are very nice, and other than a couple rough t-boxes, the condition overall is good. There are some nice elevation changes here, and an interesting layout, I was impressed.
Very nice well maintained course
Great Layout, well maintained. Greens in perfect shape, a bit slow but consistent. Very accommodating wide fairways, just a bit of water. You can't lose a ball here. Glad I got to play it.
Very nice layout
Played this course a number of times and always enjoy it. Only problem this time was the greens were very slow which wasn't the case on previous visits
Great Layout
Twisted Oaks is one of my favorite courses around the Ocala area being very women friendly, yet very challenging. We started playing here a few years back and was very pleased with the course until a couple of years ago when the fairways and greens had some serious issues. Was glad this year when we decided to try it once more to find the issues have been corrected and was once again in good shape.
Enjoyed it a lot, we were very pleased with everything and everybody,
