Twisted Oaks Golf Club

First time we played here, but it was enjoyable. Course in good condition, but greens a bit slow.

Played this course Feb 16/2017, on the recommendation of a friend. The course was in excellent condition including the greens. The greens were not fast and had plenty of elevation changes to test your skills. Played from the whites which were just under 6,000 yards. Perfect for a 10 -12 handicapper. I would play this course again as there was not a boring hole on it. It has a good number of dog legs, mostly to the right which suited my game to a tee. Lots of elevation changes as well. In short, this was the most interesting and varied course I have ever played. Put this course on your bucket list.

Very friendly staff. Course is in good shape for this time of year. Greens are a little slow. I would recommend this course to any golfer!

This one of my favorite courses in Citrus County. I will play it frequently during my stay here this year.

Just go play this wonderful course. Tees, fairways, greens, traps all in good shape - fun and interesting track to play. After many years avoiding this course because of bad conditions, it has turned around and is better than ever!! We will be back for sure. Get Golf Now or Golf18 for best prices.

Courses in really good shape greens were excellent and well manicured would play it again

Nice layout in great shape. played in just under 4 hours even following the last group of the men's tournament.

Pro shop staff not very friendly, felt like I was bothering them to check in.

Even though it was windy on the first tee, once you got into the course the wind was blocked by the trees.

Second time to play the course....will become a regular!

One of the best layouts I have played, anywhere! Nice rolling terrain, tricky greens, but overall very fair test of golf.

I understand this course has gone through ownership change, and the new owners are treating it with TLC. Greens were a bit slow for my liking, but quite suitable. Busy, so don't expect fast play.

What a wonderful experience. The course is one of the best public courses in the entire area. I played it a year ago and the difference now is fantastic. It has a terrific layout, excellent greens, just plain great course.

Under the new management, Twisted Oaks made great strides in recent years until some sort of disaster occurred last year that killed the greens. It's taken them a long time (and I'm sure a lot of work and a lot of money) to come back, but they've done it. With the exception of a small bad spot on No. 1, the greens are back in good shape. The rest of the course was already good - tees, fairways, collars. My only complaint - the rough is a bit parched. But overall, good conditions, interesting layout, good practice facilities, nice folks, nice Pro Shop and restaurant. Twisted Oaks is back on my rotation.

My first visit to Twisted Oaks was memorable. What a pretty course...in excellent shape. I look forward to my next visit. Highly recommended.

Course in good condition. Greed aren't the fastest, but putted good.

Since the new owner Tommy and his lovely wife have taken over, they have done miracles. They greens used to be bare in spots and there were places there was just ground under repair. Since I came back from up North and started playing there, I have been very pleased. (I am a sun bird, Florida resident who goes north for vacation. ) He has now over seeded the greens and they are a little slow right now, but rolling nice. The fairways show much improvement and the ball really rolls. The rough has been let grow a little longer. Some places you can loose a ball! They have a lot of outings there, so check and book your tee time. The restaurant is very good and sometimes it is outstanding. It has been redone as well as the pro shop. All in all I am very pleased with all the changes.

Since new ownership the course, clubhouse and proshop have improved dramatically, especialy the course. The greens are great , course has doglegs elevation changes and can be very chalanging if you misplace a shot. Just a great lay-out.

Will play often

I enjoy playing Twisted Oaks because I love the layout. Nice fairways and smooth, fast greens are laid out on an undulating terrain that provides plenty of variety for right and left doglegs and elevated tee boxes. In addition, the staff are always courteous and friendly. The course and clubhouse have been nicely upgraded, and are enjoyable for players young and old.
