Terrible
Worst conditions
Greens have a fungus.
Many fairway had truck marks.
You are not welcomed here
Most obnoxious staff ever, greeted like we were in the army boot camp, no water, no ice, no help…no thanks.
Course is fine but way overrated for the price.
Nothing prestigious about this place , certainly not the service.
Will never go back.
Fun round
I found Boca Lago to be a fun round of golf. Played the Black/Blue tees first on the South nine and then the East. Course is not long and everything's right in front of you. Not terribly challenging for a single digit player, but still good fun. The greens rolled exceptionally well and were quite fast. Hard to leave putts short. Thoroughly enjoyed the round. Did not enjoy paying $22 for two cans of Guinness, but besides that, a fun round of golf.
Fair experience
While there were a few things to be improved upon I would be willing to go back..
The staff at check in was less than welcoming. The pro shop staff was great. The starter was less than welcoming.
The course condition was a little wanting. Greens were not great. Overall course maintenance could be improved.
Rain check only, no refund
Played 5 holes. Rained out. Explained that I was only in town 2 more days and asked for refund. Not an option. And the course doesn't open until 10am.
Also, no water on the course. Temperature was well into the 80s.
Great course and value!
I highly recommend trying to get a round in this golf course. Pace of play for saturday morning was great and the course was a nice challenge but not too difficult. I’ve and walk scattered throughout the course and clubhouse for this crazy South Florida heat was a plus. If you’ve never played it, I highly recommend you try and catch a round. Will definitely try to continue playing here.
This course has a great layout
The pace of play was very good. They layout is awesome and I ended up making a Hole in One on East No.4. The neighbors got all mad and didn’t like it. The staff was very good and i was happy how they treated me and my brother! The only sad thing is that we played at 11 and it seemed like that they still had not cut the greens and the grass was so long. As a private course during the winter months it should be obvious that cutting greens and fairways are the first thing to do every day. Just in general my experience was great even if the greens weren’t the best. Ended up making my first ever hole in one and the people at the clubhouse were so nice about that!
Weird layout
Clearly the reason none of the other members played the West course. It has weird sharp 90 degree dog legs which meant playing off the tee with very short irons.
