Boca Greens Country Club

About
Boca Greens Country Club is like most Florida golf courses in that it has a rather flat landscape with plenty of water, but it stand out for its scenic views and challenging but player-friendly layout designed by Joe Lee. Water is a prominent presence throughout the course and there are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with, but these difficult elements are nicely balanced by ample room off of the fairways. One of the trickier holes is the par-5 17th, which is almost completely surrounded by water. The layout has a few challenging holes but overall a range of skill levels can play the golf course. There are also five sets of tees to make it even more approachable. Boca Greens C.C. boasts an enjoyable and fair round that is one of the area's best values.

Course needs to close and completely redo all greens
They shouldn’t even be letting people play on this golf course. Over 75% the greens barely even have grass on them. Tea boxes are absolutely terrible. You’re hitting off a more hard surface Clay in the fairway than you do in a sand trip.
Course looked abandoned. Greens awful
Booked what we thought was a reasonable deal. Pulled up into gated community. Greeted at bag drop. Proshop was friendly. That was the good. The course had little to no grass on it. Greens were awful. Mostly sand as they had lost them at some point. Doubt any money is spent here. Looked like no one had done any work at this course. Holes hadn’t been changed in forever. Just another disappointment. Stay away
Course needs work
Course is in major need of new ownership and a cash infusion. The layout of the course is great but the conditions are not worthy of any greens fee.
Wow…what happened to this course?
I’ve played Boca Greens for years now and to see it fall to the condition it is in now is a true shame. The bigger crime is that the course and this AP are charging in excess of $40 for this place. Wow, terrible day.
Golf
I was impressed in how bad the condition of the course is , I was really disappointed, now I understand why it was so cheap. So sad, because I played there before and remember Boca Greens as a great golf course. 😔
Course is beat up
The greens and t boxes are bad, sometimes no grass at all. it seems like they aren't putting any money into the course.
Will not return until the course improves
Every green had dirt, making a putt is impossible. Every bunker had a lot of rocks - staff was friendly but I wouldn’t pay more than $20 to play there.
Horrible conditions
This is no good at all !! Its in very bad shape, expensive for what it is. If it was 20 it would be ok but its very bad conditions. Sandy course, cant find grass even in fairway . Def not coming back here for at least 1 year or 2 . Bad bad
Worth the money
This course has a great layout, and conditions are average for the area. First hole had a temporary green, but the rest were open. We have played this course before, and will play it again. Better than most in the area.
Not much to say positive about Boca Greens.
The course has gone downhill fast. Nothing but dirt and sand, and the greens are terrible. Like putting on a bumpy dirt road. Hate leaving negative reviews but they are not even trying to make it better and don't blame the dry season because other courses in the area are in great shape. Just can't do it anymore until there are some improvements.
Ultra slow and terrible conditions
Go somewhere else. I got an early tee time to be able to breeze right through the course with no one in front of me. The front 9 went super quick and I didn't wait at all. Problem is, they start people on the back 9 as well so by the time I got to the turn, it was completely packed with people that just took multiple drops after each terrible shot, despite knowing people were behind them.
The conditions were atrocious. The first "green" was moved to the fairway because the actual green was so bad. The rest were actually pretty similar to the first one, akin to putting on rough concrete. Tee boxes were barely better than a sandbox, with no grass left. The audacity to charge $50 for conditions like that is ridiculous. I won't be playing there again.
