About
Situated just minutes from the Gold Coast beaches in the heart of Boca Raton, Southwinds Golf Course enjoys warm ocean breezes and lush vegetation. Water is a prominent presence throughout the course. Water hazards come into play on 16 holes. There are also mature trees throughout that will play a deciding role in shaping your shots. The golf course offers some enjoyably difficult holes but overall the challenges are manageable. Each hole is unique offering everything from opportunities to "grip it and rip it" and others that are defined by trees and lakes. The golf course finishes with one of its many water holes but on this par 4, you have to hit over water twice. In addition to the golf course, Southwinds also offers a driving range a putting green with a practice bunker.

Today was a very wet day
A very bad storm yesterday caused wet conditions today. But I wish I had known about the tees being aerated. They were terrible. It is usually a nice course.
Nice track, consistent greens, nice traps, great shape
My second time playing here and the course is in really nice shape. It is obvious the management team does a good job here on the upkeep and maintenance. I played from the back tees, only 6,100 yds or so, but the par 3's were pretty long. Enjoyable round.
Delightful Round of Golf
I found booking this course was easy using Golf Now. It was no muss, no fuss at the Pro shop - they had my details and rented clubs as well. A staff member carried the clubs out to the starter and was set to go. The staff was very friendly and the course was in good shape. Water was strategically placed around so that you needed to plan some shots. Had a lot of fun for a golfer who doesn't get out to p[lay often.
Good experience
Played here a few times previously. Course has a few layups and one blind hole. Staff is friendly and helpful. Decent snack bar. On this day, course was in good shape but some greens were recently punched and sanded with more work coming soon. Pace was surprisingly smooth.
Fair Play
Good course for the price. They are in the process of trimming all the trees and the greens were recently plugged. So they do keep the course well kept. The club house only has hotdogs. Too bad they don't have a kitchen. It would be a good place to have lunch after a round. They do sell beer and liquor.
Call and ask if their greens are punched
Course was well taken care of, and while short, it offered some challenging holes. The only issues I had were that the front nine greens were punched and I paid full price. No aerification warnings on Golfnow and the sign at the clubhouse said aeration would be happening on the next day. They started our group on the back nine and we were feeling good about the condition of the greens, and then we made the turn. The other issue is that they ran out of range balls. I’m sure it’s a nice course based on my experience on the back nine, but being shady about punched greens and charging full price without telling players about it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. Call ahead and ask them first before booking a tee time.
A Good Round - Challenging
On a short getaway to South Florida coast and booked a Hot Deal through Golf Now. The staff was pleasant, and helpful. The course was fairly challenging especially on the front nine with water hazards strategically placed. Course was in good shape and easy to hit the ball off the turf. The breeze across the course kept the playing comfortable even on a beautiful, hot sunny day in July.
Aeration
Good track but would’ve been nice to find out the front nine greens were being aerated before booking. Had to play back 9 twice as front nine was closed due to aeration.
