Situated just minutes from the Gold Coast beaches in the heart of Boca Raton, Southwinds Golf Course enjoys warm ocean breezes and lush vegetation. Water is a prominent presence throughout the course. Water hazards come into play on 16 holes. There are also mature trees throughout that will play a deciding role in shaping your shots. The golf course offers some enjoyably difficult holes but overall the challenges are manageable. Each hole is unique offering everything from opportunities to "grip it and rip it" and others that are defined by trees and lakes. The golf course finishes with one of its many water holes but on this par 4, you have to hit over water twice. In addition to the golf course, Southwinds also offers a driving range a putting green with a practice bunker.

Nice but overpriced
Fairly nice course but more costly than similar ones. Crowded the day we played; pace was slow. Golf Buddy distance device often could not get a strong enough signal.
Good value
Course was in good shape, typical of Florida publinx, fairways and grasses could be better with bigger budget. But greens were excellent, bunkers were well kept too. Range and chipping area were good, too. Local players here seemed to move at v good pace.
Tee boxes need to be addressed. Markers havent been moved. Beat up pretty bad.
Pleasantly surprised
Fun layout that anyone can play. Shorter course but still fun.
Nice local course
Great value, friendly helpful staff. Some challenging holes that attracts a diverse level of players.
Average course
I wasn’t impressed. A lot of the greens had brown patches everywhere on them and were not in the best of shape. A few of the tee boxes were in rough shape too. It would have been a fine experience if they fixed those two issues.
