South/East at Spanish Wells Country Club
About
Located in the heart of southwest Florida, Spanish Well Golf & Country Club in Bonita Springs offers 27 holes of championship golf amidst towering stands of palms and pines. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/East Course combines the longest of the three nines. Water characterizes the golf course, coming into play on nearly every hole. There are also strategically placed bunkers and a few tricky doglegs to watch out for. The layout presents a challenging, but fair test. The golf course finishes with one of the club's prettiest holes, a par 4 with mature trees that run along the entire right side of the fairway until they reach the lateral water hazard. Past the bunkered green, the clubhouse and the colorful surrounding flowerbeds serve as the backdrop.

Golfer Reviews
Golf in Bonita Springs
This is a nice little course and it is a good value compared to other courses in the area. There is 27 holes which makes it an interesting course. The staff is very friendly, polite and professional. The pace of play is slow, but better than other places in southwest Florida in January. The course has a lot of water and while shorter it is challenging and the high handicapper should bring some extra balls. Overall this is a great course and I would recommend it. It is highly likely the course will go private soon as there seems to be more and more people buying properties in Spanish Wells.
The cons are the food. There is not a very good place to get a good brat or burger at the end of the round and enjoy a beer in the Florida sun.
Spanish Wells
Course played well. Fairways in good condition. Greens we’re shaggy and slow.
Great Track!
Visiting from Michigan. Played with my 24-year old son. Course is a bit pricey but worth the incremental money. Paired with a couple of awesome older guys from England - shout out to Ian and Dave! Course and greens were in great condition. Nice layout and terrific foursome. Course has 3 separate 9’s. Played the South and East courses. Lots of water and some tight driving holes. Course is challenging but fair. Highlight was seeing my son eagle one of the Par 5’s. Course has multiple water/ice stations (with bathrooms) scattered throughout the different 9’s. Overall, a great day and would definitely play this course again on a future visit.
Great Way to Spend a Day
Excellent pace - when compared to previous rounds here.
Good staff - but marshals seemed confused at a number of times.
Good conditions
The course was in nice condition, however the greens were very soft and running slow.
Great Staff!
Staff was very frindly and accomodating. Played North first then the South. North course was more target golf. Was in good shape and greens were smooth. Several blind shots. I would play it a little different next time however.
South course was more of what i would consider a normal setup. It was also in good shape and the greens were smooth. A lot less blind shots.
Lots of courses still to play in the area but i will be back!
Tricky course.
It looks so wide open and easy.but you definitly want to out the driver away on some holes. Check out the.pro shop cool apparel and so so nice!!!
Friendly Staff
The ladies in the pro shop are super friendly and helpful and have been every time I’ve played here. A very Midwestern vibe which I appreciate!
Al & Greg
We enjoyed course challenges. Played East to North course. Excellent condition & all the staff most delightful; especially the frontline staff. Amen
