About
Located in the heart of southwest Florida, Spanish Well Golf & Country Club in Bonita Springs offers 27 holes of championship golf amidst towering stands of palms and pines. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/East Course combines the longest of the three nines. Water characterizes the golf course, coming into play on nearly every hole. There are also strategically placed bunkers and a few tricky doglegs to watch out for. The layout presents a challenging, but fair test. The golf course finishes with one of the club's prettiest holes, a par 4 with mature trees that run along the entire right side of the fairway until they reach the lateral water hazard. Past the bunkered green, the clubhouse and the colorful surrounding flowerbeds serve as the backdrop.

Tight coarse
Nice layout, not in the shape for a hefty price. Greens nice, fairways need some work. Beautiful setting. I will be back. Try to get a deal.
Very nice!
A bit expensive for the track. Good shape in general. Greens a bit scruffy in spots, bare in others. Played North/South.
Price gouging
We booked tee time quickly by phone the evening before we wanted to play. We saw the price posted on the Spanish Wells website. We got to the course and they wanted to charge $35 EACH more than the price on the website because we called for the teetime rather than booking it online. We complained but they would not give us the price on the website. Fine. We walked out and went to Arrowhead. Spanish Wells lost over $300 business. Jerks

Fun round at Spanish Wells.
Course in good condition and staff was very helpful. Typical of in season in SW Florida the course is over priced. You have to wait until the last minute to get a good rate. They would fill more times if advanced booking rates were more reasonable.
Golf
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course in good shape. Pace of play was slow at times. Feel fees high for average Course.
Awfully mismanaged
Local resident, avid longtime golfer here… was extremely disappointed in the chaos and mismanagement of all three starting tee boxes. When we first got there for a 1:30 tee time, it was already a free-for-all on the first tee with no starter in sight. To make it worse, they STARTED us on South, while they had groups MAKING THE TURN onto the South at the same time. So there were about 6 groups waiting on the first tee and no direction from a starter whatsoever. Then, while WE made the turn to the East course, they had SEVERAL MORE groups lined up to start at a 4pm tee time. Now, you all have 27 holes at this resort… why on Earth does it make sense to send groups out all day on all three tee boxes???? It took us over 5 hours to play our round and we waited on every single hole, all day long. It was absolutely brutal. This is an obvious tee-time-money-squeeze out of the clubhouse and for the rate we paid, I certainly do not appreciate it and will not be back. And that’s year-round, not just the 2-3 months you decide to mismanage the course this way. Terrible.
