Oso Creek Golf Course

Greens very freshly punched in July? Consider notifying your customers when the greens have been punched because it affects play -and your customers desire to play the course-had I known, I would’ve waited a few weeks to play.

Everything about this course has gotten better since the ownership change EXCEPT for the pace of play. I understand that people come here to practice but it took my group of 3 nearly 4 hours to play this < 4,000 yard course which is just unacceptable. The group ahead of us was a foursome who were brand new to golf (rolling their pushcarts over the green new) and nearly 2 holes behind the group in front of them. This course needs marshal. Overall, I recommend the course and think it’s a great value for the money.

Price point is definitely because of location of the course. Still nice but more of a $30 course viruses $50

This place is a hidden gem in South OC! I played with two guys, one of which was born and raised in south OC and no idea that the course existed. It got a little cramped up on the back 9 but its to be expected. This course is for beginners so expect a slower pace.

Just recently (6 months about) purchased by the City of Mission Viejo. The have made big improvements to the clubhouse and out door dining. I saw some work on the course, but not much.

It was good course. But it is short range.

Most of holes are par 3.

Course offers lots of opportunity to work you irons all day with doglegs, water, elevation, etc. fun course.

We had a 12:20 tee time. The weather was great. the greens were great. The fairways had some bare spots, and no one knows how to rake a bunker since covid started, but if you hit it right here, that does not matter. So why 2 stars? No Marshall. The group in front of us were horrible. The man swung and missed at least 6 times on tee number one. each person was askign for another ball when they dribbled one into the rough. at hole 11 a single came up and asked to join us (We were a 3-some two women and me - both women had had knee replacements and had trouble walking, but we were still waiting every hole) I told the guy there were 2 holes open ahead of the group in front of us. He was welcome to join us, but would probably be better off jumping them and playing by himself. He took that option. Oh, and this bunch liked to park their carts on the fringe of every green. Casta Del Slow has been re=branded as So Slow Creek!

I have been playing this course for years but major upgrades have been made and course is well maintained. I enjoy playing this course and highly recommend.
