South/North at Spanish Wells Country Club

My group was vacationing in Cape Coral, and we were looking for a nice course to play. Spanish Wells was a fit the bill perfectly. The fairways and greens were in good shape and the speed of the greens was fast, but not unfair. Plenty of water hazards on the course help to increase the challenge. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we played an additional 9 holes after the first 18. The clubhouse was well appointed, and staff was excellent. I would definitely recommend Spanish Wells GC.

I played with two buddies and a single, who joined us as. The Check-In system and course management was smooth.. The course was busy on a summer Sunday morning. Water stations, bathrooms, snack bar, and snack cart were accessible. Tee boxes were well marked, and in fair condition. It is clear that they keep up with maintenance here. Greens were in good shape and surprisingly fast. Piece of play was slow at first and picked up as we went along. We completed 18 holes in a little over four hours. With only a stop for a bathroom break at the turn. This course has a unique and interesting layout that allows for several different configurations. On this day, we played the south and east courses. It would be fun to go back and play the north and west as well or some other combination.

Played this course as a twosome. Front nine was dry and good pace of play for the first six holes. The foursome in front of us played very slowly for the 7th through 9th and didn't care they were holding up two other groups on the same hole, even when heavy rain came down. Spoke to the Pro Shop and they sent a ranger out to speak to that foursome. We had an hour-long rain delay before starting the back nine. Spent that time in the bar enjoying conversation with the staff and other players, who were all very friendly. Played the back nine in 90 minutes as there were no groups in front of us. Definitely recommend this course and we look forward to playing it again in dryer conditions.

It’s getting to be old news how good Spanish Wells‘s golf course is! Greens are fast and sloped and fairways are very good and the rough will make you pay! Another challenging day at the course

I love offseason Florida golf, if you can bear the heat you can play some great courses for great prices. It’s fun course to play, even as I try to re-learn the game after 20 years away as the staff is fantastic.

Great course-- 3 Nine Hole courses. It was a bit challenging but in great condition. It was extremely hot weather!

Another wonderful day on the course at Spanish Wells! The course is in great condition even though we’ve had a lot of rain so it must drain really well. The greens were cut pretty close and very fast! I have no complaints. I recommend Spanish Wells highly.

I played the East and South courses. Nice layout, without being terribly difficult. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Experience was so enjoyable, we returned to look at homes for sale!

Excellent course, vey well kept and good and challenging greens.

Wonderful golf course. The course was in great shape and the green were smooth. Very friendly and helpful staff. Overall the golf course is a balance challenge, some easy holes and several that get your attention. The best part was no one on the course. i played 18 holes in well under 3 hours. In my opinion, this is the best value in the county. Very affordable, course great shape, and fast pace of play. I strongly recommend for anyone to play this course, you wont regret it.

My 2nd time playing here, I got a 3p tee time and played in 2.5 hours. I played the South and East courses.

The course was in excellent shape and has its challenges.

I played the blue tees to add a few extra yards and it did make it a bit more challenging.

Overall, a good experience and I will play this course again.

Yardage seemed short for my tees that was more than made up for with challenging layout. Only negative was the spongy soft first cut if you landed just off fairway. Was really hard to ring your ball really disappeared Just had to drop a ball a handful of times where I thought it was.
