South/North at Spanish Wells Country Club

Course was ok - average conditions, but layout is wonky. They have 3 nine hole courses and it seems they tried to jam them in there. Range, putting green practice areas were ok - just for the price it was worth it. Maybe if it was $75 with cart ???

Expensive course. No towels on a wet day. No water on the cart. No ball cleaners on the cart or on the course. Tees on North course were like a cow pasture. Mowers distracted from golf. No GPS on carts for a “high end” course.

We have played this course - one of the few public courses in Naples. The staff is really friendly and the pace of play was good. There is a big difference in the grass between the North and South courses - even the greens.

South course was not in as good as shape especially the tees. Very beat up. Lots of water hazards and some narrow fairways. Some difficult 90 degree holes for sure. I lost 4 golf balls. I don't think it is worth $150.00 but we don't have many alternate choices.

Enjoyed the course. It was in good shape and had many interesting holes. It is a fairly short course but challenging. I thought it was a little over priced but I got a deal through golf now.

On a positive note the course was well manicured and the greens were very nice. On the negative side the course is lined with 100’s of houses and has an over abundance of water. This is target golf to the highest degree. Granted I didn’t bring my A game when I played (I’m a 10 index), but I lost too many balls to the water and houses on slightly off line drives and approach shots. This is a short course and the water and houses provide the primary defense, but it feels claustrophobic.

Driving range was members only and it took us just over 4.5 hours to play. Otherwise it was good.

Quirky layout to say the least! But enjoyable nonetheless. Grab a Hot Deal for under $100 during peak season and you’ll have some fun.
