Very muddy course with bunkers that were unplayable
The course layout is good, drinks cart and snacks were handy. Staff really friendly and helpful. The course however was very muddy and wet - lots of water everywhere - the bunkers were either no play zones or overgrown with weeds.
Away from this course. Do not waste your time
4 guy front of me, golf skill were bad but what make it worse is they are not playing golf. They are spending more time pick up balls in the water. I report to the club house but no one cares.
Club closed without any notification
I had booked two tee times at Gainsborough Green Golf Club for 2:26 PM under booking numbers (399142820) and (399192647). We arrived at the venue 20 minutes before the scheduled time, only to find that the golf club was completely closed.
This caused significant inconvenience as we drove over 100 km, incurred toll fees, and wasted approximately 1.5 hours of our time. What made the situation even more frustrating was the complete lack of notification from your team, whether through email, phone, or even a notice at the entrance of the pro shop.
Greens had been cored and covered with Sand which meant uneven pace and hard to read. This would have been nice to know prior to booking
Gainsborough greens
Been over 20 years since I last played there and found the course now in much better condition, reasonably open with plenty of wildlife and good layout.
Unlucky
Sat behind 5 groups playing best ball. Really slow. Constantly slow. We were told they would only play 9 but co tinued. Arghhhh
