About
Callahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

Slow play
Pace of play today was slow; I played along with a guy who works there and plays free...no sense of urgency to play at a pace to finish the round.
Several tee boxes were in really bare condition and probably should not have been in use, but the rest of the course was in nice condition.
Fun round, again!
Nice Day in the Mountains…Sort of!
Arrived early to hit some balls. The course was in great shape. Greens held your shots and made you work for your score. Fairways were forgiving but god forbid you hit into the rough….hence the name “Links”. Great course, Great conditions, FREAKING BEAUTIFUL DAY.

Would definitely come back, good value for a nice course. Pace of play was quite slow but the weather was perfect so can't really complain
Beautiful course with a challenging layout. Greens were in pretty good shape. Some of the tee off area’s need working. Overall a good value/course for the price.
Enjoyable course to play.
This was my first time playing this course and had a good time. Lot of nice views with the elevations. Fairways and greens were in very good condition. A few of the tee boxes in the shade did not have much grass but not a big deal when you can tee the ball up. Bring a range finder as yardage markers can be a challenge to find. Hoping Santa gets me one this year. Fairways do have very small markers with 100, 150, and 200. The par 3 holes have no yardage markers on the tee boxes. Round took about 4:20 to play on a Saturday but that’s expected on a weekend. Definitely will play again.

Good course layout and a fair test of golf skills. Greens fees were the initial draw for me to book a tee time but found the course layout to be scenic and challenging from the Men’s tees.
Pace was the slowest round that I’ve ever played and it was a twosome after the 10th hole.
