Only had 2 of foursome show up, therefore we were paired with one. Good golfer, but slowed us up a little. Wasn’t bad for us, but felt bad for those behind us.

Course in great shape though. Very strategic. Course management must.

Great greens. Fun layout. Staff not bad, just nothing special.

Greens were very good, fairways decent, tee boxes a bit worn, staff all nice, slightly higher than average price but worth it, carts and gps’s good. Practice facilities good. All good enough to bring me back soon.

So we had two issues. First, when they sent us out, there was a storm about 30 miles away. Sunny with blue skies at the golf course. By hole 2 they closed the course, even though the storm had moved north away from the course by this point. They pro shop claimed there had been lightning in the area, but the website they were relying on can't reliably distinguish cloud to cloud lightning from cloud to ground. Moreover, it was a small storm. By the time it was 50 miles away, they still did not reopen the course because there was "lightning in the area." I guess lightning in the area means lightening on the Gulf coast between Tampa and Venice, a daily occurrence in the summer posing virtuay no risk unless the storm is moving toward or forming over the golf course. If the issue is one of safety. The. We need to shut down the golf course permanently because one is far more likely to get hit by a stray golf shot on a tight course like this than be struck by lightning with blue skies above the course. Most courses leave it to customers judgment and diaclaim liability for lightning (and other) injuries. But not this course. Customers are treated like children. Moreover, they sent out kids who were walking in foursomes right as we were teeing off and they carted the kids to the holes in front of us and dropped them off. We were a twosome, so having foursome walkers skipping us was tacky. Given that, maybe we were actually saved by the unnecessary course closure. Won't ever golf here again. I advise you do the same in the Florida summer when storms are common.

Layout of course was different, but was beautiful and in great shape.

A must play in the summer when rates are reasonable.

Solid course and in great condition. Thunderstorsm got us off to a slow start, but staff handled it well and we were only delayed a bit.

Course was in good shape. Water fountains were out on the front 9 so we drank hose water. Cart girl didn’t show up until hole 13. Starter was not pleasant but that doesn’t really bother me. Range balls are included but you hit off mats that aren’t in great shape.
