IMG Academy Golf Club

My son and son inlaw were visiting for the Christmas holiday and had limited time to play. The course provided my kids and I a memorable golf experience. Staff was very polite and assisted us in our first time playing at IMG. The golf course was maintained in beautiful condition. My kids and I are looking forward to making a round of golf at IMG an annual event as part of their Christmas visit to Bradenton.

Just soooo unnecessary...what's the number 1 complaint today - correct it's "pace of play" . At IMG, no starter, no marshall, no adherence to tee off times or pace of play. By the 3rd hole we were stopped dead, by the 6th, 3 groups on the tee...home of the 5- 51/2 hour round, waiting on every single shot.

Here's a thought, send groups of 4 out maybe 10 minutes apart, encourage people to finish in approx 4 hrs, spend a few $'s on a marshall, encourage people to keep up with the group in front.

Pace of play is rarely perfect particularly on a busy public course but without any structure or effort put into it this is what you get...

I understand you will get slow play but when you play 18 holes and wait on every shot something has to be done...

Played this course over the holidays. Very slow and very soggy. Already behind schedule in the first hour of the day due to “members” that can’t show up on time. Overall a decent course but not the best value for quality.

Everyone enjoyed our round at IMG. We moved right along until we hit a foursome of walkers. Still finished right at 4 hours.

Unfortunately, the weather was bad but I played all holes with the 3 others guys. Very good time

I played at 9am with three elderly members. they were very welcoming and they played a mixed tee format from gold and white tees. I believe this made the course about 5,700 yds which was a little shorter than I would like but I believe the back tees extend the distance substantially.

Yen first 4 holes were quite tight on the drive but thereafter, it opened up and the greens were fast and undulating. Overall I thought the course was quite easy (I play off 15.7) but it was a very pleasant round.

My main complaint was that the housing around the course does encroach quite significantly in some areas and is quite claustrophobic.

$97 was expensive but I did play early when all the members were out and there are cheaper times later in the morning.

Definitely a course worth playing!

Course in great condition. A bit too crowded and slow pace of play.

Course conditions very good in all regards, not outstanding. Busy course but pace of play is monitored well, great cart and gps system. Fair challenges but not overwhelming difficulty

The course was in very good shape considering the drought conditions in the region. Fairways, greens and traps were well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The beverage cart was in service although the snack bar was closed. The round took 4 hours and 15 minutes. The course can be long if you’re not driving the ball 250 yards. We played from the gold tees and enjoyed ourselves. We got a great deal on Golf Now. We all would play here again.
